    Seems about right to me but it’s all about the upkeep.

     

     

    Here’s one I’ve been thinking about….

     

    If they sell off their ramshackled stadium and training facilities and lease it back, would it be the new landlord’s prerogative to fix the shingles and mend the windowpane.

    Serious question. Who would buy those players? At those outrageous salaries? Captain fantastic, the speed merchant on 10k? Black et al on 7k? It is a nonsense;- Long may it continue, and don’t forget the revelation in the Sandaza case, salaries increase as they go up the divisions. Was he not on 10K a week when they got back into the top ?

    Not sure about maintenance. I suppose it depends on the lease.

     

     

    The only sensible course of action is to mothball, or sell, Ibrox (it is a dog), lease a smaller stadium and put ticket prices up. Make match tickets hard to get and sell at a premium.

    Ok Ok I’m kidding. I don’t think Burnbank and Hillhouse are far behind .

     

    Mind you, I grew up in Bellshill so I’ve nothing to brag about. My “handle” is taken from the Unthank road in Mossend, where, for years there was grafitti on the gable end which read

     

    “1690, no pope here, unthank won’t surrender”

     

    The amazing thing was, I think it was up there for years, as if it was normal, proclaiming protestant supremacy!

    Left Bellshill at 18, couldn’t wait to get out of the place. So any of my opinions on Mossend/Bellshill are deeply jaundiced.

    A group of us from the Tappit Hen in Dunblane there for a couple of year’s. Must play the Old Course at Villamoura, one of the best courses I’ve ever played. Unfortunately not much nightlife but a bar called the 19th hole was always good fun and don’t forget to check out the casino across from your hotel on your way back from the bars. Be careful and watch the locals some of them are total scumbags and would send the ‘ladies of the night’ across to try and lure us tourists into alleyways late at night. A couple of my mates almost got caught out and it was purely by luck they didn’t get themselves into bother. Have a great time HH

    I assume so on the basis that it was TRFC Ltd (Sevco Scotland Ltd as it was at the time) which was admitted to SFL, months before RIFC was even incorporated.
