Charlie I love but every European game for two seasons he goes to pieces.
I actually think the players look like they have trained too hard this week and have no energy.
Mathews on for a Lustig push Broony oot right get Mcgregor through the middle and get the ball into feet.

Seems pretty even to me we have had four good chances they have had four. We have had more corners. Our keeper has done his job.
If we are going to press up the park high then so must the defence. Hanging back cos you have been caught out for pace is a recipe for disaster.
We also need more penetration from midfield and front. Pass the ball yes but only if it is on. If you have nobody in front of you then carry the ball. We seem obsessed by going down the wing. It needs to go through the middle occasionally.

Sorry bhoys but that first half was dire thanks to Craig Gordon we are still at 0-0 we are pedestrian all over the park and lumping in high crosses to who ? Stefan looks poor we need to change this bring on Wackaso and Griffiths take off Stefan and McGreggor and our two Central defenders need a kick up the jacksie they are walking around like they are world beaters if we dont pickit up we could lose this match. I will blame him for everything including Global Warming and Ebola if I can
Ronny is not responsible for some of the basic errors from players in both teams.
The weather and atmosphere have more to do with that.
So far, this has not been a tactical battle but a game of whose errors will prove most costly. Thankfully, Astra seem to like to let fly from distance. That might suit us. One goal is all it takes.

Sloppy ,sluggish and shaky. We need to improve massively second half but I’m not holding my breath.

2 centre halfs are not dealing with their striker.
Some poor possession, Callum offers nothing bar the occasional goal.
We are the better side tho.

Whoever the posh spoken English commentator on Fox Sports 2 is here in the US, but he’s hardly had a good word to say about Celtic in general. Sounds like a few Ingerlunders I work with. Everton blah, blah, blah. Tottenham blah, blah, blah. Modern corporate broadcasting rights are mince.

We still seem to have a dreadful record of creating from set pieces. If we could get a decent return from the many corners and free kicks that we win then we would take an awful lot of pressure off ourselves.

“Not to put too fine a point on it, that was dire from Celtic. I mentioned momentum earlier and there’s been absolutely no sign of the firepower that brought them five goals at the weekend. Instead, the Romanians have looked the likelier to score and Celtic can be thankful they haven’t done. Ronny Deila needs to earn his corn at the interval.”

Otherwise, we are pish.
Astra very comfortable on the ball and quick on the break.

I wouldn’t say McGregor is having a quiet game. I’d say he’s been pash and I’m being kind. I thought young players were hungry for the ball. On tonight’s showing he’s no James Forrest and he sure ain’t no Aiden McGeady. Poor fare so far. Craig Gordon great signing!
