  1. You have to expect the opposition to have a good spell during a game. Especially in Europe.

They had their spell and didn’t score

  2. Frank Ryan's Whiskey on

Strong views from a legend. I agree with him, lets hope RD reads the riot act to the team and there is a vast improvement 2nd half

  3. Griffiths wouldn’t have made any difference.

We are not creating chances for , err, anybody.

    Disappointing all round.

    Can Ronny raise our game?

    Hope so.

  4. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    COSYCORNERBHOY

    NAW!

Surely A isnae at this game?

It’ll put her off for life!!

  5. Change it Ronny ! Earn your money

Get Scepovic off, play stokes through the middle and Wakaso on the left oh and find someone else to take corners other than a striker.

Progress ? Has McGregors natural flair been coached out of him ?

  6. Living_in_the_Love_of_the_Commons_People on

Oh, and I second the motion to welcome all the new contributors.

  7. SFTB

Your pre match warning is taking place.

    Woeful 1st half.

Lack of tempo due to lack of movement and misplaced passes.

    Sort it please Ronny.

  8. I predict Ronny will bring on…

    Kayal

    Matthews

    Tonev

My prediction is based on this being the opposite of what most would see as logical :-)

  9. Regarding Sutton

It’s easy to be on the touchline talking about the usual rubbish. “Passion” etc

We look like we are not creating enough because Scepovic has struggled again. Maybe Stokes and Commons?

  10. archdeaconsbench on

    Big Sutton pulling no punches….

    Sadly correct.

    kdc / philboy

    really?????

  11. To be fair to Ronny, he is hamstrung by the absence of Commons and Guidetti – we have nothing up front (despite the ovation on here for ‘same as’ v the Highland cracks).

Griffiths on for Scepovic, 4-3-1-2 with Mcgregor in the hole. I’d also sub Stefan ‘loose cannon’ Johansen and have Brown, Bitton and Mulgrew in midfield.

  12. pedrocaravanachio67 on

    Right…..

    Positive vibes….

It’s 0-0, we’re still in, c’mon Celtic, get the finger oot.

All negativity on the back burner….

    ( for at least 45 minutes )

  13. Everyone thought this was our best team tonight. The players play shocking and its the managers fault. How the fek does that work. The players cant fekin pass the ball, cant run, move into positions. The 2 CHs continually have to pass the ball square because no one moving.

Mc Gregor looks like a wee lost boy.Scepovic,well.

Stokes our best player. All the experts near enough picked this team tonight, now its RDs fault.Dont be fooled by the “Soup taker”Sutton.

Good point. I remember us struggling to create chances under MoN when we faced a well organised opposition, but we could usually sneak a goal from a well worked set piece. With the amount of corners and free kicks we get, we need to do better.

  15. Tricoloured Ribbon on

Very, very fortunate to be still in it.Astra should be home and dry.

    Absolutely dreadful stuff.

Surely to God we will see better in the second half?

  16. Tempo is too slow, no movement off the ball, square passes across middle and back are nightmare stuff

We need to quicken the pace move the ball and someone needs to take them on and not play a pass backwards

  17. Who said these guys would be a walkover? No easy games in Europe. These guys are defending comfortably and Ross County they definitely are not. Despite all our corners we are no threat. Looks like a patience job.

  18. weebobbycollins on

Find it hard to believe how far this Celtic team have fallen in recent years…ok in Scottish terms but useless at European level…so sad…like a woman who once was young and beautiful but now is old and wrinkled…

  19. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

The cheeseburgers in the main stand are magnificent.

Naw, its just geid me the boak. I bet big peter doesnt eat this shite.

    Baaaah puke.

  20. timaloy29 – Their good spell could have resulted in 4 goals. Still waiting for our good spell.

  21. Game remains entirely winnable. Would Kayal for McGregor tighten things up? Allow Johansen to press on?

Prefer a change at HT rather than the 60 min mark.

  22. Another boot in the haw maws for the supporters who put their money upfront

Another 2 for 1 ticket deal for Sunday being advertised trackside

Well Celtic you can cancel two season tickets for next season because it seems that 2 for 1 may be the way forward

  23. bournesouprecipe on

    Half time

Clearly a top of the range Astra, and Celtic didn’t surprise them as they did with Zagreb and a chance taken, early ( then held on )

Denayer is superb and it’s increasingly no surprise there’s no ‘buy later’ option. The openness of Lustig and Izzy pushing forward nearly cost us at least twice, and Mulgrew sleeps in Europe.

McGregor doesn’t know where to go because the inside channel he’s to play in is blocked, Lustig is playing as the winger and the same Izzy and once again Stokes should be barred from dead balls.

Forecast 1-0 to the Hoops, if they keep the back door locked.

  24. Mon The Hoops! on

Wouldn’t say Sutton is bitter but extremely frustrated with his team, like the rest of us…

  25. @settingfreethebears

2 of his 3 goals were deflections. The other was against a team from Iceland. People forget.
