  1. @Melvin when your on…..Your pre match predictions ..Like invisible Shankland..and monkeys to

run amok against a shackled Mini team…..And tonight ….Huns won’t be allowed to lose….

  2. Yes,great goals, but should have been more.Second half, reverted back to the laborious build up.Too many passes.Too many wasted crosses, reaching no one or over hit.Yang great 1st half, suffered with the slower build up second .GT missed when he went off.Too many poor attempts to tackle,Dundee could have had more than one.6-0 up at HT,another 3 would have been a magnificent result for us.As it stands,a lot better off than we were, but could have been better.Saturday, massive for us.Any kind of win will do,St Johnstone,Livi,up next, rattle a few in there, bring on the Huns, but tighten up at the back, and try to show O Riley how to tackle.

Just back in from the game. Much more like it, with the added bonus of 7 difference scorers and 6 goals down my end in the first half. Great to see Kelly come and make an instant impact . Beautiful strike. Yang MoTM. Matt and Tomoki also particularly good, but so was the whole starting XI.

My one concern is that we can’t keep a clean sheet. Even against 10 men who are 7-nil down. It was poor, lazy defending and teams that cough up cheap gaols lose, leagues. No coincidence it was after we subbed off Taylor and CCV and came down the left side.

  4. Just back from game with my happy bhoy….If I was involved in Jobo’s top 3 players, I would plump for….

    Yang

    Al Johnson

    Greg Taylor

If we win the league, and I now think we will, then it will be down to Hart, Cal and CCV….EL Capitanos one n all.

  5. @Peter 10 52..Always love to hear comments from Celts at the game….

Hope you enjoyed the other 7 goals…

I drank with Peters Dad in the farringdon social club for years.. in Bham

Great Guy proud of his son..

If you don’t mind me asking….The Belly??? where is that from?

  6. Meanwhile word arrives from Anatolia expressing concern about our second half performance….

While I thought we had just won 7-1…..

Had the misfortune to catch McInnes interview on Sportsound on the way home. Spent a lot longer talking up the huns than his own team.

‘Rangers’ are quality, hard for us to compete, Butland showed what a top talent he us, Tavernier’s free kick over the wall was wonderful, unstoppable blah, blah.

    A total riddy.

Big gas meter was the keeper in my formative years as a Celt. In my mind’s eye he carried a bit of timber. Saw a pic of him recently from his last season with us and he was definitely heavy. That’s my distant childhood memory of him, hence the handle. Always retained a fondness for the big guy.

  9. OOPs ….Fair enough mate..lol .

When he came down to see his old man ..He looked Athletic….

    Thanks for clearing that up….

  10. ‘Yang was good tonight I must admit….’

Neil McCann on BBC Scotland, who is in receipt of a hun cheating EBT for about half a million pounds….

  11. Laxalt…Back to Basics….

That’s what i thought would be the rainbow feeling tonight…

I love the sound of breaking glass.

Particularly when it is the hun bottle crashing.

  13. We keep going and winning …they will cave in at Ibrox with the pressure as they will also hopefully have crashed out of Europe and the Scottish cup …just beforehand ..keep the goals coming Celts ..that will have scared them tonight …but logically folks …unless they drop 2 points ( and as we all know they will not be ALLOWED to ) goal diff will be academic..will be decided at Ipox /paradise…draw and win and it’s OURS 🍀

  14. I think I met a relative of Bheaver’s on the way out of the game tonight.

This oul grumpy bugger was haranguing his younger companion with “Only one goal in the second half; it’s no good enough- that’s another half where we didn’t win”.

You have to laugh at this kind of thing. We have a lot of Fast Show Jonny the Painters in our support.

  15. @SFTB..I’m really surprised the blog is not buzzing tnite…..What a win…..

Good on you getting to the game tonight…..I wish those days were with me again…

    Bring on the minis………

Yang must now be top pick for the right wing out of all our millions of wingers …. but…. a crucial part in this is down to the tremendous return to form of Alistair Johnston behind him (sometimes in front of him!)

Partnerships are key. The left side …. Taylor/Maeda/Palma is not quite at the level yet , partly because Maeda isn’t as comfortable there , so I think it’s important that Brendan establishes a first pick left winger to foster a partnership with the excellent Taylor .

  17. Noticed Killie never had Sevco hitting towards their own fans in the FIRST half like they did with us last time we played….probably nothing tho.

  18. @Glendaly…Watch the action between johnston ..O’reilly .Yang

    A three piece magic…..one touch …boom

  19. Back in the day, when it was not so easy to keep up with each game from afar, short wave, and long wave radio apart, and sometimes when the medium wave would travel far enough to bring us bad news, I did not lose faith but I did give up believing that if Tommy Burns’ Celtic won fourteen games in a row we would win the League. We didn’t. And yet, 2007-2008 we dug deep towards the latter part of the season, and won the league at Tannadyce a few days after Tommy passed away. Under Gordon Strachan. I say this only to remind those who keep talking of eleven cup finals, or any such nonsense, or about winning every game, leave that to Pep and Manchester City, no, it is about winning the next game, on top of winning the last game, which we just did. How many time do I have to tell ya, Lena and Big Jock got it right. Brendan understands this now.

    Great result tonight.

Nice to see some of the players who have been getting maligned as not good enough stepping up to the plate and getting praised for it. Long may it continue.

Watched young Beck tonight. Didn’t see much to suggest he would make our first team.

  21. Thought I would have a bigger read back.

    Hurtin’ huns anyone?

Great day at work, got the whole first half in and superb day with my team. Celtic and work.

  22. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

Noise sometimes says things that data doesn’t.

Because we’ve got 10 league games left

I had a look at the last 10 league form for us and other.

    It was interesting.

    We are 8-2-0.

    They are 9-0-1.

One team has been terrible while the other has purred majestically like a Rolls Royce.

The run in will be tough. Very tough.

But a struggling team who’ve just gone 8-2-0 must surely have a chance … if they continue to improve … of going 9-1-0.

    Good night CQN.
