  1. Sadly an all too familiar result under Ronnie’s brave new regime. Can’t say I am even shocked at the performance, gutless, clueless, rudderless. Seen it too many times of late.

  2. The line up from the start was awful.Brown, not kicked a ball since coming back,Mulgrew, totally not match fit,Rogic, same,Armstrong, been off form and not playing well.Thats your midfield. Then put in a boy making his debut with that lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.The thing is,against Hamilton,he played an unfit Commons in place of Allan, stuck the boy on the left, then dropped both tonight for the mob he put on.

Maybe just me,but I think Lustig has to be the weakest crosser of a ball I have seen for a right back.No strength at all.

That was truly awful to watch.Only Tierney got pass marks.I can usually take some good things from even the poorest of games, but tonight was abysmal.

Lets hope Dundee play as well on Saturday.

And we play a whole lot fekin better on Sunday.

  3. As a season ticket holder and shareholder I feel I am due an explanation from Lawwell as to the current state of affairs, there is something not right tonight, players did not give a shit

  4. Captain Beefheart on

I blame the board, the scouts and the players most of all.

Not the refs or the media or Ronny.

Shameful crap which will get worse.

  5. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

The likes of Forrest, Mulgrew,Commons and Brown had got a lot to answer for as well.

Get them all away to feck.

    HH.

  6. Anyone in the stadium tonight knows Ronny’s time is up. For those of you who did not see it, it is hard to find the words to describe how bad it was.

    He should be sacked immediately.

  7. If the players are not playing for the manager that means that they are cheating you and me,and the jerseys they pull on.

I am not happy that we end up with,Mulgrew,Commons and Forrest on the field at the end of play and Ronny must except the blame for that, but are we going to let Ronny hung out to dry when IMO PL is the main culprit.

We hear that a South Korean was wanting to sign but we end up with a last minute signing no one wanted.Remind me again who is his agent.?

  8. It should not be left to The cup game at the weekend, RD has said he will not chuck it, that decisionhas to be made for him now.

  9. Dundee boss Paul Hartley

“I’m thrilled. I thought the gameplan worked well; we came here and changed our system – going to a back three, two wing-backs, three in midfield and two up. We didn’t sit off Celtic and we caused them problems, especially the last 25 minutes.

“I felt we were really comfortable. They’re a magnificent bunch of players to work with. It was a magnificent team performance. We out-thought Celtic tonight…

  10. I don’t blame the likes of Broonie, he is unfit, as is Rogic and Mulgrew, Armstrong hasn’t kicked a ball for long enough, yet they were the mainstay of our middy tonight, a feckin joke.

  11. Captain Beefheart on

    Sack Ronny and do what?

Jose couldn’t make the duds better. We are actually in serious trouble. Only Celtic could conspire to make a mess out of this.

  12. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

Where’s Tony Donnelly67 when you need him to explain tonight’s performance?

How the hell will Paul 67/ Lawwell put a spin on this?

More importantly is there any Board on field ambition left?

who can we sell ?.. Yeah Who can we sell.. ? That’s the important thing.. Who can we sell?

  13. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

Terrible cliche , I know , but in this case I feel it is appropriate.

    Nice guys come last.

  14. Captain Beefheart on

It sounds like the players have chucked it. A clique has undermined Ronny since he started. Get them all out.

  15. Desperate times call for drastic measures.

This is not as crazy as it sounds. Definite mileage in this.

If it takes even 1 million pounds, it would be the best 1 million pounds we have spent in a long while.

    Dear Martin Oneill,

Prior to ur 2016 Euro commitment, please accept an offer of 1 million to oversee 10 football matches.

Please see us home / over the line.

    Yours sincerely

    The Celtic Fans

  16. captain beef heart – start by playing players in their right positions and in a better system. We rarely see a celt hitting the by line – roberts tried that and looked the part. Lustig, forrest, tierney all look to pass inside – this is coaching at its worse.

i’ve tried to be patient to see what this team can evolve into – after tonight and recent performances it is clear that not only is it not working – it simply is not going to improve this season. We need a change to get us over the line – a manager who can get something out of these players!

  17. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

There are now serious doubts as to whether we can win the league.

The problem is that I can’t see us gaining a momentum or curing the malaise that has enveloped the team.

If we keep RD till the end of the season and we don’t win the league, what then?

Can we afford to gamble on him winning the league? I don’t think so.

    So, what do we do?

Relieve him of his duties and bring in, who? Moyes?

Not for me at this stage.

If we are going to do anything, I think we should do what we did post Mowbrey.

Appoint a caretaker with knowledge of the players.

My suggestion would be to promote Jim Mc.Guinness and let him loose on the squad.

One thing they won’t do is hide or shirk and if he can get into their heads, he will have them running through brick walls for the club.

    Desperate times needs desperate measures.

  18. CB

I have said for long enought the players are not playing for the coaches, problem is you can’t get rid of them all, it’s cheaper to get rid of the coaches.

They are cheating us, but they hols all the aces

    HH

  19. Bayern Munich 1-2 Mainz

An unusual home defeat for the Bundesliga runaway leaders by a side 20 plus points lower than them.

    It’s a funny old game.

  20. Just back from a cold and despondent Celtic Park

I haven’t read back but I can imagine some of the tone.

Tonight was an inept level of performance (Tierney & Roberts exempted). There was no excuse for that level and frequency of passing mistakes, for that level of slow build up, and for that level of buck passing amongst players.

Believe me, tonight fell below standards of any other recent poor performance. At Hamilton we had 3 glaring chances to win, tonight one second half sclaff (that;s what it looked like from the distance I saw it) threatened the keeper and that was it. Dundee had a much better winning chance with the free header.

Senior players let us down tonight- Brown, Mulgrew, Lustig and even Gordon.

There were no major ref issues- no outrageous bus parking or clugging from Dundee, just our own self inflicted errors.

Tonight’s performance demands a squad “clear the air” talk and a resting of several players who have been played through a form slump (Armstrong and Lustig especially).

We have a good chance with the knockout nature of the cup this weekend to inject more of a sense of urgency but tonight’s performance suggests a fractured mood in the squad and that must get fixed quick.

I stayed to the end. I did not boo but I recognise and acknowledge that as the worst performance I have seen at home this season.

  21. I don’t like coming on here and being negative but tonight ranks with some of the worst performances I have witnessed throughout my lifetime. There is something seriously wrong. We have a glut of midfield players but no recognisable midfield – no guile, no guts.

Sorry Ronny, your time is up. On tonight’s performance we’d be lucky to get through the first qualifying round of the CL, and Morton cannot be taken as a foregone conclusion.

The whole team with the exception of KT and CG ( had little to do) should donate their pay to charity – imposters the lot of them.

  22. Two points from two games against Hamilton away and Dundee home just about sums up the state the team is in. We are a crap team with a crap manager. As for J Collins what exactly does he contribute???

  23. Thom

You are posting a fair few things tonight, and I would have posted the same stuff, and your post about Jim McGuinness is spot on, let him loose on them

    HH

  24. I flew in from Derry to Glasgow on the 15.30 flight,a lot of Celtic supporters making a journey with passion for what,a bunch of gutless cheats disgracing the Celtic jersey they don’t know the meaning of Celtic. If the players had half the feeling of these Celtic supporters they will be ashamed tonight.

  25. The Johnatron on

Time rapidly running out for you Ronny. Worst display I’ve seen in a long time. What’s happened to the high tempo and pressing game that we were promised in the early days? We are going backwards at an extraordinary rate. Not even confident of beating Morton at home now! How telling is that? No energy from Ronny, the players or the stands. Numerous signings simply bizarre. Need to clear out the root of the problems. Ronny, JC and Kennedy. Bring in moyes. Respected figure with a bit of passion for the club.

Until now I thought best not to change until seasons end, but at this rate of decline the league is going to be a real struggle.

Thanks for the effort Ronny, but your taxi is waiting….

  26. Macjay1 RD is not going to give us an honest explanation. It will be the usual shite talk. Mulgrew should never be near a jersey after Ajax, Forrest should be left in the reserves. As I said earlier what I would give for Lenny there tonight in that midfield or indeed a Hartley. Every time Mulgrew or Lustig got the ball could not wait to get rid of it to our youngest player Roberts, gutless, absolutely gutless lot, SB included tonight unfortunately. But they won’t care as they jump into their Range Rover Sports on route to their plush pads. They won’t feel down in the mouth or on forum like this

  27. Tierney is a class above awe

No movement up front felt sorry for Roberts

Allan should be in from the start

    Sviachenko good player

Brown badly off form tryin to find his feet

    Forrest needs a new club

Commons should be on from the start

Lustig no played well since Matthews left

    Rogic just back fae injury

    Armstrong off form

    Boyata bombscare

    Mulgrew did ok

    Griff no supply

Kazim new gig will come good

However too late to change now

Unless we lose the next 3 games which is

    Never gonna happen

    Aberdeen too inconsistent

A point gained like the Hamilton performance

    Despite playing utter gash

    New manager needed next season

  28. Ray Singh-Carr on

We are limping towards a title that we barely deserve. RD does not appear to know what his best team selection is and seems incapable of changing the course of any game that is not going well. More and more teams are sussing out our one-dimensional game plan and confidence is going through the floor. The team are not performing for him. I am afraid he has had long enough, time for a change.
