  1. VFR800 is now a Monster 821 on

    GARY67 on 17TH DECEMBER 2016 7:24 PM

Coulee resist it; just been reading back the previous blog comments and that made me laugh.

I’ll have a wee look later but I do think he is a good player. He Just needs to be Rodgersed!

  2. Second of two less than formulaic Celtic home wins, but not surprising since half the side keeps on rotating, but still on course.

Celtic showed vulnerabilities bound to emerge with 4 or 5 changes to the winning side, and stick both full backs permanently in the opponents half.

Two nil and game over Dundee decided to play so down the Celtic right flank they went and scored far too easily past Gamboa and Gordon et al. If the Dundee sub ( apologies don’t know his name ) who show boated his tap in over the bar isn’t on your Celtic Christmas card list, he should be now.

Still can’t complain Bobby Madden gave the Celtic free kick, but only when he’d no option, the ones he ignored were the game flow changers.

Enjoyed the craic with EuroChamps67 and the family Battered Bunnet seats where you’re so close to the action you can see the sweat on Izzy’s brow.

Celtic never win ugly, it’s just not possible.

    MOM Leigh Griffiths

  3. FAN-A-TIC,when the goal happened I was saying don’t dive in,keep him outside, but he didn’t hear me:-)))

  4. SANDMAN

Sorry, you misunderstood my point. We cannot afford a Larsson, a complete striker. Henrik was not the complete striker when he joined Celtic, he grew into that type of player and we are gratified that he did.

  5. PCS

The sad thing is it would be funny if it wasn’t so serious.

Celtic managers have lost their jobs cos of the cheating, perfect example was big Tony Mowbry, we were flying till we went to the bigot dome and that was the game IIRC that christened the honest mistake saying, that game destroyed him imo, we/he was never the same after it, last season Ronny was on the receiving end of some dreadful stuff, thankfully we have a manager who is stronger than what the sfa’s cheats can throw at us.

  6. Re our high foul count versus the opposition

    Theory 1

we press the man in possession and can have 2 or 3 forward players involved. The opposition player invariably goes down under the challenge and the ref obliges. On the other hand when we are tackled because we have a couple of our players on hand we retain possession and play is waved on whether or not there is a genuine advantage.

    Theory 2

    Ref is biased

  7. Have to say green brigade were superb today, wee bhoy in front of me never stopped dancing to them,he looked about 4,his gran just kept laughing

  8. Was that 3 in a row?yiiiipppppppeeeeeee,O wait a minute the rangers have done they aw ready:-)))))

  9. Watched our last few games and we have won well, sometimes ugly!

To be fair the sheer number of games we have played and I have no idea, but i guess we are close to double our the rest of the league when you include home cup ties, friendlies, euros and euro qualifiers. The rest we need both mentally and physically just is not enough!

We have a couple more games to round off 2016 then we get a month off. More importantly we will play roughly the same amount of games as our competitors. This means we get as much rest as our competitors, outwith 4 or 5 cup games if we do well.

Win ugly for the rest of the month and we will dominate, especially as the grounds we play on should start to firm up and hopefully we avoid the worst of winter. The time when our game suffers and injuries rack up due to the heavy and messy rugby pitches we play on!

Onwards and upwards, if we survive this month unbeaten I fancy us to kick on and keep it up for the rest of the season!

    Hail Hail

  10. always was in a mind that our refs. were just plain poor.

changed my thinking today, plainly poor and cheats.

  11. To be honest, going unbeaten could be achieved however it would take enormous good fortune and a level playing field.

The first part of the above is down to chance the second part will be down to the grip.

You over the jet lag from Vegas lol ! I’m supping a big Hendrick’s & tonic here in Las Americas after watching Hoops wae other mad Tims today ! Tenerife’s Green & White ! HH !

  13. Awe_Naw_No_Annoni_Oan_Anaw_Noo on

You would think that one of the SPFL managers that had to get shifted out and another one´s poor performing rival have been knobbled by some desperate chairman for some reason. Possibly somebody with a vested interest in seeing off that desperate chiarman would lend a hand to team that just lost some management and possibly lend some players too ensure control of a club and to spread your bets. Thank go this is scottish football and that kind of stuff would never happen.

  14. Gamboa in my opinion is a good attacking full back.made a mistake, that Dundee scored,a bit of tiredness I think ,lead to their goal,so I am going to cut him a bit of slack,

  15. back from game…

    good result..

    Ref…pash..as usual…. no reason for a lot of decisions…..& a lazy b.ss. to boot.

    Griff…take a bow son….merry xmas…

  16. prestonpans bhoys on

Stats from today’s game, 62% possession 17 fouls against the hoops 4 for Dundee. Now we are either a very successful dirty team or mibs are at it. Until the board put pressure on the SFA this will continue……..

  17. Awe naw.

    Yip

    Prestonpans.

The back of the bus cannae sing.

I think JPTs answers from the board tell us, the board will not rock the boat with the press, refs SFA, nada, Old Firm rules.

Four rounds to qualify for Champions League games, when new rules come in, games starting in June, 4 places instead of 5, yet this is supposed to be a good deal. Mmmmm.

    Not in my opinion.

  18. We didn’t half make hard work of that today. We should have won that game out of sight and in the end we were lucky not to drop 2 points. In saying that we have played 30 plus competitive games already this season. I would doubt there is any other team in Europe who has played as many games as us. And the Celts go marching on.

  19. prestonpans bhoys on

    Jimmynotpaul,

Perhaps we should do what the Hun’s did and confront the SFA and get the right answers (sic)

  20. weeman67 and VFR

The internet is generally a force for good but it is also a haven for wild gossip, unsubstantiated rumour, conspiracy theory and even co-ordinated hateful slander.

Your latest link is only a mild example of the phenomonon. It is certainly not in the same ball park of gullibility as your rumour of Obama being the first President not to visit France to celebrate D-Day or some of your previous linked lies.

The trouble is that these things have consequences. Serious consequences as the following link shows.

In Our Post-truth world it is vitally important that people cite reliable evidence and that there is fact checking. Even if you do get called a PC do-gooder member of the liberal elite for standing up for the standards that brought us science and the enlightenment. You should try to research the stuff before linking or risk becoming CQN’s own Jeffrey Marty

  21. SFTB

Ahh, but who’s lies do you believe ?

If you were to believe the msm, you know thems who lie through their teeth, the internet news is Fake so it is and we shouldn’t believe nothing other than the msm, some state we would be in if we all did that….No :-)

    HH

  22. SFTB There was an intersesting piece on RT today on Fake news and Fact checking. Almost alll the Fact checkers were US based news agencies many of which have been guilty of putting out fake news. Hypernormalization. Hh

  23. TET

There ARE news outlets that peddle lies, even ones in the MSM and many more outwith.

I made no appeal in defence of authority as a source of truth.

My appeal was to factual truth and attempts to verify it with back up evidence, sources and a fair appraisal of the alternative viewpoint. I am arguing against the “my view is as good as your views, regardless of evidence” and the toxic post-truth standards that are becoming more prevalent.

Weeman67 has a habit of linking stories that are easily disproved by a moment’s research. Why would anyone shout fire in a cinema unless you saw fire or smelled smoke? It would be irresponsible and dangerous.

It is incumbent on us not just to assert our arguments but to show what evidence there is for it. Otherwise it is just the loudest shouter that wins. And that applies to the MSM too if they are shouting untruths. I think the Daily Mail qualifies as MSM and they promised me 3 million gypsies were arriving in the UK on or near to a specified date around 2007. They remain unrepentant..

So feel free to call out the MSM, in fact I insist upon it. Just show the working that suggests or proves they got it wrong- just as VFR did for weeman’s latest link of an internet rumour.
