I don’t doubt for a minute that he’s a very good Celtic man and I don’t think I said anything either he or most others on here would disagree with. He does criticise a lot and he knows it.
Yes, it was a great game and I really enjoyed it. Hopefully much more to come!
Cheers.

I’d be amazed if there was anything in it. Fits no pattern at the club..
Fletcher is out of our reach too.
It’ll be a European name that we aren’t familiar with but hopefully more than the usual punt and with a bit of pedigree.
A Hooper type today would have scored a hatful today…

Hats off to every man woman and child who went today watching a procession to the title.

More stuff like that today will help.
We won by the way.

What a great start to the league season and a few great performances today. My man of the match for a performance that was the epitome of class goes to Fergus McCann, he chose his words with great dignity and humility.

Just in from the game.
What a way to start your stay at Celtic Park, Ronny, The two Johns, big Danayer and Jo Inge.
Reading the experts on this blog over the past weeks I thought we must be total mince.
How wrong you are.
Celtic were magnificent today and those players far from eschewing Ronny’s ways seemed to have totally embraced his philosophy. We pumped the team that pumped our supposed title challengers last week.
Craig Gordon is a great keeper, only beaten by a deflection.
The back four were super, Danayer is a player. Who says Izzy can’t defend, the wee man is back to his best. He seems to have great confidence in Jo Inge in front of him and he is an intelligent player. Very good link player. Stokes and Kris were very good and young McGregor is also a fine player. In fact the bad news is wee Jamesie doing his hamstring again, setting up the sixth goal in “injury” time, pun intended.
Great being a Celtic supporter.

Regarding young Denayer’s pace, he has the flat footed running gait similar to Evander Sno but I thought he covers the ground quickly.
Just my opinion.

Thanks for that. I thought Del Piero might have been going through the motions when he went to Sydney. I went to a couple of games in Australia last year and didn`t think the standard of football was that great.

THAT was amazing today ……. Some absolutely stunning football ………. Thank you, Ronny, for proving me SSSSSSOOOOOOOOO wrong …….. Mulgrew and Commons have just a little fitness / pace to catch up on …….. but, WOW, Efe at right back…..the new players….. Fabulous PACE ….the fans…FERGUS ……. ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED. !!!!!!!! …….recorded it, and away to watch it again …….HH
Hope people will cut Ronny some slack after today. He had two bad results, some naive play that I believe he’ll learn from, in Europe. Results when the team have only started trying to play his way. In other words, games that came at the worst possible time. His other results and almost everything that has come out of his mouth since he arrived has been very good.
What I will say, and I’m sure he will too, is that the players need to keep that up for 90 minutes. We clicked today and they were poor. We’re further along in shaking off the cobwebs than they are. But it’s not always going to work like that and we’ll need at times to fight to the last minute.
LG looks like he’s trying too hard right now, that’s fine, a goal or two will settle him back down again. The rest of the players looked a lot more comfortable and the two wins could be vital for confidence with important qualifiers coming up.
JF needs to get on the weights to get a better muscle balance, I know certain players are just more injury prone than others (I hope to God he’s not another Craig Beattie) but they can do something about it.
Was very impressed with Stokes’ work-rate as well as Commons’ defensive work.
Berget as others have said looks an intelligent player, to add to this he hung back at times which allowed Izzy to get forward without the usual massive gap in the left back position. Shrewd move by Ronny.
Cannot wait to get home to settle down and watch the game.
Sounds like a great performance.

Well who saw that coming?
I think the pace and energy shows us just how important it is to get games under the belt in CL qualifying.
Add in a new man in charge and time for him to make his mark and the Legia performance becomes much more understandable.
Patience is a virtue in short supply but once you learn it time slows down.
Nothing means anything other than the meaning we give it at any point in time.
So enjoy it all.
I hope we get another enjoyable result in midweek in that we will give it positive meaning but either way let’s hope the performance today settles nerves that we are not going backwards, just catching our breath.
I clocked Forrest pulling up as he made the pass. Given he had left two guys for dead and tore at their defence the Maribor manager must have been as pleased as I was upset for the player.
Heid up wee man. Keep gaun.
