Yip…….Everyone is gradually going to be getting up to match fitness levels and although players can train so hard……it takes games to really hone those fitness levels……still a few needed to get em all in the groove though…….but we are getting there.
Remember VVD last season?
What a difference fitness makes.

Corkcelt,
RD put Beget in for the first Legia game just after signing him a couple of days previous!
But I think any CF signing will be for the second game.

Gooooooood afternoon ladies and gents, bhoys and girls.
Just back in from the game. Very, very enjoyable performance, great result and great to see the confidence soaring at times. We are still very much a team in transition and there is lots and lots of work to be done. We will have our ups and downs during the season. Think if we are still in the tie after Wednesday we could have a tremendous night at paradise and would fancy our chances. Not had a feel good factor like this since the beginning of MON’s tenure.
What more can you wish for, Fergus gets the thank you he thoroughly deserves and a sparkling performance.
Anyone still calling for Deila’s head?

rebus67 I know he did and it was a mistake. RD did make a major cock up of that match. However fate appears to have given us a second chance and we cannot afford any cock ups this time. Not wishing in any way to dilute the feelgood factor on here but European Football is an entirely different kettle of fish than the European game. Play the sexy football in the SPFL but be cynical and watertight in Europe.
Izzy was brill. Could turn on a tanner or spin on a shullen as they say!!!

Watched game on TV – competent performance from Celtic against a team lauded as a threat (by me) so my estimation on The Consultant (my pet name for Ronny)is going up
Like most I was critical after the Legia debacle – no apology from me on that – however I am impressed with the way RD has taken that negative performance and got the team doing what they should be (I am not yet ready to hail RD as the Messiah) but credit where due Im impressed with first 2 league games
keep going RD and I feel a “little” confident about Maribor

Corkcelt,
I agree with everything you said. I, also, hope that he does not play a new striker in the first game.
Berget looks like he is fitting in nicely now, hopefully any new striker will dovetail in as quickly.

Thanks for the feedback. What the BBC obviously meant was that Utd did not revert to a defensive formation once they went behind. That was translated into bad defending in their updates.
Trouble with the online comments on the BBC is that it could be a wee boy wi a keyboard making gormless comments and we’d never know. But we always suspect.

Traffic around Celtic Park is a joke, all those Police on duty and they can’t organise traffic control for buses leaving stadia. Nearly hour an a half after game and still not more than 100 metre away from stadia arghhhhhhhhhhhhh
