Thing with this money rich clubs now is that they are happy for young players to go on loan for 3-4 years before they call them back to their first team squads. Crazy but we’ll take what we can get these days.
Great to see Fergus get to take the plaudits for where we are today.
Champions playing like Champions. Some great displays today thought Izzy was outstanding and the young centre half Denayer looks a superb young player. Very composed with quick turn of pace but for me his best attribute is his timing in the tackle. Well seen he’s from the new generation of young Belgium players.
Time for fans to cut Ronny a bit of slack and let’s see how his pass and move football develops.

can we have some perspective on things.
our celtic are unbeaten at celtic park in the league in how many games ? its a lot that i know.
drubbings for quite a few in the last few seasons, including beating united 5-0 at seasons end.
ronnie said he would be offensive at home,
so added all up, today we saw last years players doing what they do, with added new players getting it.
so, today was what we could expect when it clicks.
now they need to find the defensive qualities for a game away from home in europe.

RWE. Craig Gordon didnt have a lot to do but what he had to do he did well.I thought personaly Efe looked good at right back VD and the new bhoy looked good the midfield played well and did work box to box well for me there no failures today a first class team performance. H.H.

Izzy was brill. Could turn on a tanner or spin on a shullen as they say!!!
He has great ability, touches and composure Jude, but he is suspect defensively…..and consequently targeted by our opponents and height-wise at the back post……well…..Maribor will be looking to capitalise on that as much as any team, but they sound like doing so is part of their game as it is.

Gordon was good and made two good saves. He also saved at the feet of a DU forward, showing he is not afraid to risk injury.
The back 4 were also good, although maybe suspect on an over the top ball. That may change as they get used to one another.
The midfield was also good with SF being the box to box midfielder. Maybe they could move the ball forward a bit faster but again, it is early days. What little I saw of Armstrong, I liked and he would bring something different.
We need to see a few more games to get a sense of where the team is now.

Personally I thought the young guy was pretty slow, looks a player, strong and can play football the right way, but looks slow.

A few years ago the polis used to hold the traffic to allow buses to get straight on to motorway, anyway on the move now and you’re right rather we moan about traffic than the team

Agree on Izzy. Going forward he was impressive today and you could see his confidence soaring as the game progressed. However, put a couple of big forwards in his area of the penalty box and he will be in trouble. He has lead in his boots. Hopefully, RD will set up to give him assistance, either from a left sided midfielder or Berget.
