Ok, who the hell kidnapped Neil Lennon this week!?
For games like today, at home vs the likes of Dunfermline we are usually served a treat of 4-4-2.
The formation know where we are going to be and we dont make it hard for them by imitating scarecrows.
Tonight – where the hell did this change come from!?
The formation of a back 4 which includes Ledley is tailor made. His instincts mean hes breaking quicker than anyone can catch breath let alone track him.
A midfield which has Kayal deep – Ki and Commons tucking in slightly and then Forrest playing in the hole, roaming means Forrest is playing in between the defence and midfield of any of the standard formations.
Standard formations – 442, 451, 541 etc is all your run of the mill spl manager knows.
So it picks holes right through it.
Im not going to get too carried away and say it looks like the players are trying to pass and move in triangular shapes because im not in heaven.
Its probably down to the quickness in our play and space we are getting.
But if we are trying to play in that more dynamic type system – well thats my lottery win!
Was that Zurawski’s one good game ;-)
