True and the thing is, we don’t know who scouted and approved the Duffy signing.
If Howe has worked with a certain player and feels he can do a job, we need to trust his knowledge. We can’t complain on the one hand that the manager isn’t signing his own players then complain when he does.

I’m hoping for a spirited, narrow defeat for Newcastle today. Just so it keeps them in the relegation mire but convinces Ashley the players are still playing for Bruce :)

Reading an article about the Huns supposedly being in for a Peterboro striker.I contacted my mate who works at the club, the guy who gave me the lowdown on the Toney saga.He says the guy is a good striker,26 goals this season, and he has taken up the slack left with the departure of Toney. Not as good, but if he keeps it up,will be a few clubs in for him.Where do Peterboro, get these strikers from?

Neil’s approach APPEARED to be based on

I suspect the new manager will need time to wipe this stuff from the player’s memory banks.
Good call made earlier re Arteta at Arsenal which backed up a revealing stat on MOTD last night.

Jonson Clarke-Harris? From what little of seen, he looks a good finisher. At 26, he’s not old but probably needs to move soon if he’s to get a “big” move.
I’m with you on loan players, though would side with Geebee that the problem isn’t having 1 loan player it’s having 4 in the first team. That’s when I think it’s safe to say something has gone wrong.
I disagree on out of contract players though. David Alaba the Bayern Munich defender is going on a free this season, Aaron Ramsay went to Juve on one. Did Larsson not go to Barca on one?
I wouldn’t be surprised if more and more players aren’t happy to run down their contracts and boost their weekly wage when they sign for their new club.
Out of contract doesn’t necessarily mean they are guff.

A worrying feature of this season’s Celtic is how the leadership all congratulate each other for being brill8ant, clever etc, etc.
Look at the state of us. 20 points behind the huns, most of the team leaving, losing to everyone and their granny. Nae wonder we’re in such a state with these mutually protective muppets back slapping away while the place falls apart.
Will never forget Lennon’s part in all this. Completely out of his depth and clung on till the season was completely in the toilet. Sickening.

Question earlier about how is Eddie Howe with the media? Consensus seems to be he communicates well, that’s as maybe. But this was with the English media who are not cheerleaders for one club and one club only and do their best to paint one club as negatively as they can (that’s Celtic in case you were wondering). There’s been a lot of talk lately about clear outs. The area which needs most attention outwith the coaching/playing squad after the Board is the communications department, they are woeful. Eddie Howe will need a very clear head’s up (and support) on the laptop loyal!
No supporters, no cause Celtic games can’t end quickly enough including John Beaton’s latest 90 minutes dead, where he didn’t even have the excuse of hurrying to the bar of choice, for his after match pint. Five subs and a stretcher, earning no more hesgoal never mind a deserved 4th for the Hoops.
Most neutral refs would have seen the Leigh Griffiths block as a stone waller, SFA denialists, hand them out elsewhere, but with Eddy rested, Ajeti and the Griff failed to make a real impact in this Saturday night affair. James Forrest was the easter egg a sight for very sore eyes, restoring natural attacking balance on the right flank missed all season and through out Neil Lennon’s torturous elongated exit.
The Peter Pan winger will be any new managers go to guy, as he has been since joining Celtic at the tender age of eleven. Quite frankly, the rest toiled, including Tom Rogic in for the other rested McGregor, next season’s captain elect. Captain’s announcing that they’ve left for pastures new just rubber stamps no cause Celtic this season, where loan players don’t even begin to mask deficiencies evident from the start.
Whatever Mohammed el Younoussi’s price if he has one, it’s too much IMO, back to the market for us, driven by jerseys and season tickets. £5M is the new normal, and can buy you nothing when you are searching for diamonds in the midden. The paying Celtic supporter dictates the standard of player the new manager will be able to afford, the crucial part is who does the searching and buying on our behalf?

how many football games did you manage a team for ? you managed anything in life ? a crew in maccyD’s ? a team of shift workers ? an internationally known business with a hostile media audience anything to say you can actually critique someone elses work ?
Neil Lennon had 1/2 a bad season, even then he won a cup to complete a historic quadruple treble.
Even then, in the second spell he lost only 16 matches from 110.
He might not have performed as well as before, in that little horrible spell, however he was never out his depth.
ps, i really hope you give up your season card, if you have one, your never going to enjoy it, no matter who is in place, go find something to make you happy, SUPPORTING celtic doesnt.
