Good morning, good morning, from a dark, chilly but happy Garngad
Well done bhoys. We move on to Sunday now and a 1 off game against the Orcs
If we Pass and move the ball quickly they will not be able to live with us, they will resort to trying to be physical, nothing surer.

Der Hun has fallen at the first hurdle of what is a series of big games. Motherwell and Hibs take note – do not stand off Sevco like Aberdeen did for the first 30 mins last night. Aberdeen thought they were up against the 1970s Brazil team until they scored and took over the game. Cosgrove missed an absolute sitter from a couple of yards – it could have been worse for the Sevco.
As for us, I thought we were a bit lethargic and played in spells but we had the chances to make it comfortable. The Brown winner sums up the differences between the actual champions and the champions of hype.
Every time this Celtic team is asked a question, we answer it. And to think some pundits have questioned our bottle !
We average a game every 3 days this month so of course the squad needs utilised. My one criticism with Neil is that his rotation policy plays lads out of their natural position.
If Ntcham plays then rest Brown or CalMac. If Rogic plays then rest Christie. MJ plays for Elyounissi, Griff for Edouard etc
Playing Forrest on the right and Christie out on the wing does seem to knock us off our game a bit. Onward to Sunday. Hopefully there will be no ball watching from hopeful balls in – cut that out now please, Celtic.

We went from cruise control to absolute implosion against a shit Aberdeen team, this is the same team we pumped 5-0 going on 8 at Ibrox not so long ago.
The mankies are a far better team than the sheep, they press right up the pitch trying to stop teams coming out their own box with the ball forcing them into mistakes or just punting the ball forward giving it away, their forward line and midfield are pretty slick and will pose our defence numerous problems with their pace, play like we did tonight and Sunday will be painful viewing.
John Beaton had an ideal opportunity to award Sevco a points winning penalty last night but gave a free kick instead. Hmm..

15 points on offer.
I’m a wee bit biased but I can see us easily win all 15 given the quality of our resources.

Beaton apparently apologises and will be the most disappointed person outside of Der Hun Kampf.
Shocking if true, he still owes us a quadruple apology for three unpunished assaults at Ibrox and for gloating in a Hun pub afterwards.

Thought Neil’s post-match interview was spot-on.
Players aren’t machines, eye on Sunday’s game, he took some blame for the formation, mental fatigue etc etc. Posters here looking for players heads to roll FFS….
Didn’t get a sausage so watched Der Hun – we turn up and run at that defence we will score a barrowload. Play the players in their proper places – that’s a front 4 of Moi, Eddy, Ryan and Jamesey….
Their game depends on crosses from full backs – Barisic is injured and Tav Pen is now scapegoat material….

I wonder if Beaton was the toast of his town last night? He’ll need a police escort if he fancies a pint.
I think last night will be the start of their unraveling and to think he played a part in it is delicious.
Karma.
Whilst I understand the need for a squirrel, going public with his apology makes it more difficult for him to atone for his sins. Undoubtedly he’ll be super keen to do so, but it will

…seem like blatant cheating versus an honest mistake. Hopefully Celtic can kick on and it will be inconsequential.
Agree with Ad Dun earlier, too many teams have believed the hype and give them way too much respect. McInnes’ pre-match interview was appalling. You’d have thought Aberdeen were about to face Barca in their pomp.

Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd believes Rangers’ disappointing midweek draw against Aberdeen could be a “blessing in disguise” ahead of their League Cup final against Celtic on Sunday.
Steven Gerrard’s side fell two points behind their bitter rivals in the Premiership title race after they let a two-goal lead slip at Pittodrie on Wednesday, while Scott Brown’s dramatic added-time strike gave Celtic a 2-1 win over Hamilton at Parkhead.
While Boyd accepts Rangers cannot be happy with the Premiership stalemate, he thinks the result could serve as somewhat of a wake-up call ahead of Sunday’s final after many predicted a home win in the first Old Firm clash of the season at Ibrox which saw Celtic emerge as 2-0 winners.
Steven Davis, James Tavernier and Connor Goldson during the match between Aberdeen and Rangers
Steven Davis, James Tavernier and Connor Goldson during the match between Aberdeen and Rangers
“If we go back to the first Old Firm this season Rangers were playing so well and some people thought Rangers could go in and steamroller Celtic and it went the other way,” Boyd said on Sky Sports after the Aberdeen match.
“Maybe this result at Pittodrie tells us that Rangers need to be performing at a level consistently, they need their big players to stand up. Steven Davis, Ryan Jack, Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent – you need them to be performing because if you drop below that then you are going to get punished.
Steven Gerrard expects more twists in the Scottish Premiership title race after his side drew 2-2 at Aberdeen to fall two points behind leaders Celtic
“It might just be a good result here – not in terms of the league – but for Sunday looking forward to that, Steven Gerrard can deliver the message of ‘if we are not on it then we are going to get punished again’.
“It might be a blessing in disguise here. They will still be raging that they dropped the points in the league but for the cup Gerrard can use this. He can refer back to this and you would think that Rangers would learn from their second-half performance.”
