Hail Fail fella…hope ye don’t mind.

Back in the early 80’s I came across a bloke called – George Thom – from Larkhall, don’t know if it’s the same guy ?

This bloke had blonde hair and a DD-style moustache….every time I see DD, he reminds me of yon basturt.

Anyway, this GT guy was part of a masonic-clique who were instrumental in me being, transferred from my place of work in Blantyre, to Larkhall.

Now, my name made me an immediate target for the ‘banter’ from the locals.

Ye see, I was an assistant charge hand in a butcher’s shop that turned a guid profit because it was run with the emphasis based on maintaining the quality of the basic product’s in the shop which, received it’s ‘peak’ turnover when Mass came out at 10 0’clock am in week days so, us Tim’s made sure that the guid fholk of ole Blantyre were well looked after….so to speak:)

But, this George Thom guy, in his role as Area Manager was one meddling pain in the ass who knew that we were running a guid-busy-happy-profitable business but, he was wanting his, thieving masonic pals to run the place, so that he could get his hauns in the till so to speak.

I was ‘bumped’ to Larkhall like a rat in a trap but, me….knowing fine well how this was meant to play out – with me quitting – I turned the tables on the bassas and, became one rebellious pain in the ass to the mediocre operatives that I found myself surrounded by.

At that time, they all seemed to support Rapid Vienna :)

Anyway, after a few months – quarantined in Larkhall – I was summoned back to my original place of work in Blantyre as, the planted masonic-hun-bassa had chased most of the punters out the door because – he reduced the quality of the basic product by, putting inferior quality products on the shelve’s and, trying to kid folk on – sound familiar ? :)

Anyway, George Thom sent me to Larkhall to break me and, ended up maneuvering himself to the door as, the ole Blantyre Co-op butchers lost £thousands coz of his hunlike style of management.

Little did he know the levels of Jungle-Spirit that I was capable of producing….when the chips were down.

Anyway….BRTH, I know that you and I, come from different worlds so, the George Thom that I speak of might be a different one ?

If in the unlikely event that it’s the same one, just ask him if he remembers – Kev the mad Celtic supporter from the Blantyre shop and, watch his heart sink.

Or, he might turn green ? :)

Btw…..there were obviously some right hun-feckers in the Larkhall Co-op when I was there but, there were some guid, decent folk who were obviously Rangers FC supporters and, who knew that I was Tim.

In fact, some of the better Rangers folk that I have met came from Larkhall and, could not have been better to myself and my wife when we were there for, new year parties a few times.

It was daunting just thinking about going there but, the folk who were there for us went right out of they’re way to make us welcome.

To be honest, I think that it was my wife’s Irish eyes that they fell for :)

Tri Coloured Ribbon – I hope my Larkhall stuff disny get me barred fae the Post Office ? :)

Your Tri Colour will always fly high on the ole Jungle roof.

You’ll Never Walk Alone….in the Jungle.

    ….May God Bless You All – oot-zzzzz…..

  3. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

I said it earlier in the season and I’m going to say it again….

    Make Tierney captain.

Compare and contrast KT with SB….. Just think about it.

I’ve never been convinced by SB. He is a barometer for the declining standards in both Celtic and Scottish football generally. No doubt he has Heart and some kind of leadership quality. I’d say KT matches his heart but without the ‘bully bhoy’ aspect. KT dominates opponents without resorting to intimidation and needless fouls and giving away potentially dangerous free kicks / bookings etc.

along with Griffiths he has pulled the team up off its backside at important points this season.

Technically KT is at least the equal of SB ( one of the poorest passers imo).

KT embodies the values and the future aspirations of the club.

I think he is a quiet leader- you don’t walk in to Celtic at 18, displace a very good experienced international player, get the call up for your country and keep out several highly rated older players without having something about you.

Mark my words- KT is a captain in the making.

  5. BROGAN ROGAN TREVINO AND HOGAN SUPPORTS OSCAR KNOX, MACKENZIE FURNISS AND ANYONE ELSE WHO FIGHTS NEUROBLASTOMA on 2ND APRIL 2016 9:00 AM

    “Kill Ultra.

Well you are correct in saying that it has been adjourned three times. That was by design, with the agreement of the board and it will formally be on the agenda again come November. What would you have preferred — that it be quietly dropped from the agenda or booted into touch by being voted down by the corporate machine?”

BRTH. I signed up for the resolution on the understanding, given at the time, that it would be debated from the floor and nothing else. That implicit agreement has been reneged on.

In my opinion, if the resolution had been debated it would have almost certainly been voted down, but it wouldn’t have gone quietly. The Board would have been held to account, and as far as I’m concerned, its Old Firm continuity policy would have been clearly exposed.

“With regard to funding, if you are insinuating that whatever funds have been made available thus far have come from Celtic you would be wrong. The funding that has been received so far has come from three private individuals none of whom have any connection with the Celtic board to my knowledge, and the biggest single contribution has come from one of the requisitioners — someone with whom you have regular discourse on here and who has been involved from the very start — and for the avoidance of doubt it ain’t me.”

BRTH. I have gathered from the information that you and the other requisitioners have provided on this forum that there has been a substantial amount of legal work, report(s) commissioned, etc.

As a shareholder signatory of Resolution 12 I’m entitled to know the identity of the donors who, I assume, haven’t asked for anonymity. They are, after all, contributing on my behalf.

“Anyway, let me ask you a question:

Do you think this matter should be referred to UEFA/CFCB and do you think the shareholders should refer it there through the solicitors who have been retained?”

    Yes

  8. My friends in Celtic,

I would like to reiterate the tribute to the deceased Nicky Kernaghan that flashed up on the big screens at Parkhead yesterday.

Nicky was a well known Celtic man in the on/offshore Engineering Construction Industry.

    RIP.

    HH.

  9. Kill Ultra

I am pretty sure that those who have helped fund the Res 12 legal expenses do not wish their details to be made public, even if you seem to think have you have some right to know.

We funded the Sunday Herald ad on here – but we never listed the names of those who contributed.

When Auldheid wanted to place a second ad in the same paper, one Celtic supporter put in writing his willingness to fund the ad so there would have been no need for crowd funding.

The ad was rejected on this occasion by the lawyers at the newspaper due to the providence of some of the evidence referred to.

This is incidentally pretty much the same reason for any perceived reluctance from Celtic.

That is not to say Celtic aren’t solving their own problem with this.

If you want to withdraw your involvement write to Celtic, the SFA and UEFA if you like to formally withdraw your signature.

The biggest legal bill – like 99pc – would be due to BRTH. He does it all for free and for the love of Celtic.

There is every chance of an unexpected type of success on Res12 and whether it happens or not there are other battles ahead.

When the Supreme Courts rule decisively on the BTC there is an appetite and there is funding commitments in place for a judicial review on LNS.

Guys like you frankly can cause a loss of appetite.

  13. Persisting down here in darkest Lanarkshire. Great day yesterday, despite the Barca result, the least important one anyway. Lhads team in London now one point away from winning their league in his first season down there, the Hoops won and my tapas dinner was really well received in here.

So , half nine Mass beckons the gym session to burn off yesterday’s excesses, after that I will just let the day happen.

  14. Good morning friends from a pretty grey and dreich East Kilbride. The rain over the last couple of days have coused the closure of all of the South Lanarkshire golf courses so looks like a day for the hoose. X

That man is just stupid and clueless, he’s going to get someone injured badly, he hasent a scooby, Broony to me I think is looking a yard short of fitness, Lustig had one of his better games, and young Patrick was a joy to watch, back to the Brazen after the game with Masty, got rat arsed drunk, taxi home, had a pee, teeth in the jar, and straight into my kip, great day/night love the hoops HH

I think the wee bird might be a Redpoll from your description and earlier you? described seeing a Sparrowhawk attacking a “charm” of Goldfinches.

It was a description of a scene that is common in my garden when apparent from nowhere a Sparrow Hawk scatters a feeding group of wee brown birds.

Keep posting about the birds, even the attacks which gives us a break from the attacks by he Hawks on here!

  23. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon in Paradise yesterday.

A decent performance , not without fault, but decent nonetheless and cause for optimism.

Special mention to SJ who I thought was excellent and to Patrick Roberts & Dedryk.

Just shows what can be accomplished with a big supportive crowd behind the team.

“Back to the Prermiership”, “Return to the Premiership”, “Relegated to the bottom tier”. Oh yes, and the nauseating “Old Firm” tag.
