I don’t get why we’re going with a back 4 against a team that has scored just 2 goals in the last decade. We could probably get away with just leaving CCV as a sweeper with Ralston and Scales just ahead of him and Hart having the day off to take his Mrs Christmas shopping.

Get Oh on up front with Kyogo, Maeda and Palma wide, possibly switching sides from time to time to confuse the two five man defensive lines. Then have Calmac, O’Reilly and Turnbull running amok in midfield effectively playing 5-a-side one touch passing through the lines, with Turnbull always an option from range.
With a ten man defensive wall and the Livi players scared to venture across the halfway line, our front players have to run at their defenders with the ball at their feet and/or be playing quick one touch passes into that area, and when we don’t manage to get cleanly through, adopt the Hun tactic of going to ground at the merest hint of contact and encouraging them to grab our shirts at set pieces. As with the Huns, I’m sure the VARs will be happy to award us 2 or 3 penalties when the ref fails to see any of the blatant offending.
Then again…
Matt O just said great to have the GB back today on CTV.
