  3. What’s the bookies giving for GLASGOW Rangers the deid team that really urny winng the SPL in 2016? 2017?

10 in a row? Aye right!

  4. I spoke to a person involved with a league one club in Scotland.

I commented on not being able to understand why more lower league clubs did not try to sign the players we release.

He said ‘if you don’t get the boys from Celtic or Rangers before they sign pro then they are a waste of time. Too much money and want everything on a plate’.

Now, we have the best young players in Scotland. We have to find a way to allow them to flourish.

I see NFL ( who I was a fan of) today saying he had no issue if players eat or drink incorrectly or carry a bit weight citing Gazza and Big John as examples.

    Football has moved on.

Under JC and RD, the young boys will be analysed, will get sports psychology and will have to train and eat well.

That gives them the best chance of using their skills.

How often do we ask why we don’t create world class players in this country?

RD has broken up a long standing Lennoxtown boys club I suspect. We may have to suffer before going forward.

    I’m up for it

  5. Tricoloured Ribbon………….that figure probably accounts for Liverpool’s spend over last and the current season.

  6. Firstly congratulations Hendrix.

The best feeling in the world.

    Onto football.

What to make of today. Honestly I’m not sure.

Have to give Ronny time to build his team. However we have to see progress soon. I think he keeps making too many changes. I understand the concept of rotation but he has to establish his best 11 and give them a run together to allow them to understand each other’s play. Still too many passengers and we all know who they are. Game on Wed against minis is now massive for Ronny.

  7. RD has a remit to revolutionize the way we play, the we we train, the way we prepare on and off the field.

There is no better time to achieve that than now.

    We need fitter, faster footballers.

Faster thinking, faster passing, faster reacting and faster controlling a ball.

The old casual approach to fitness and diet is being changed.

Hopefully the current CP contingent will react positively.

    The owe it to us.

    They owe it to themselves.

    That’s why we didn’t win ….you and I were missing. !!!!!!

  9. Captn.

Till today, I never thot we wouldn’t win the league, still think we will, only cos the others won’t sustain a run and will cut each others throats.

  10. The presently evolving side may not be the most impressive we have ever seen.

    Time will tell.

The present greetin’ faced support, if CQN is any kind of indicator, does not deserve even that level.

We are becoming the mirror image of our recently deceased rivals.

We want to be… THE PEEPUL.

It’s a football blog, we all have our opinions and if you don’t like it then tough.

I can easily say that depriving me of my right to an opinion is Hunnish.

  11. guernica

Well said. One step back to make a few steps forward.

As an interim step, however …. RD PLEASE stop the 2 midfielders with two front men and effectively 2 wingers!

  12. We started and finished today at walking pace, no tempo at all. Is there any discernible pattern to our play? same mistakes every game, spaces behind Izzy, left footed right winger who always has to come inside to cross, another one who won’t use his right foot, poor midfield and link up play, baffling substitutions, and still cannot retain possession from a throw in. Rapid progress needed or else we will be in the mire with no chance of getting out. We were lucky to get a soft penalty.

The day you die there will be a football team called GLASGOW Rangers at Ibrox.

  15. hotshot

A friend of mine, who played professionally in the late 50s, has a pet hate about players who are one footed. He really rants about players like Mulgrew, Izzy, Commons and Brown who have to always play the ball on to their good foot and get crowded out.

    Beats me too

  16. Guy’s can someone post the contact email for P67 please

    Thanks in advance.

  17. What is the Stars on

Sooner or later Ronny will be gone

The sooner the better for me

The man is hopelessly out of his depth.

He was a cheap “yes man” option brought in by Lawwell after Neil Lennon walked and they (the board ) realised no serious manager would accept the job with its current budget)

You couldnt blame poor old Ronny from jumping at a chance to leave the Norwegian Backwaters and move to sunnier climes, managing a big club like Celtic (in the champions league as he would have thought) would be a dream come true for this guy.

However from day one when he started to waffle about playing “fast attacking football” is was obvious to me that we (the fans) were being sold a pup.

We will not win anything with this man in charge…

    Ronny out…

Come on Peter admit you made a mistake and do the decent thing

  18. what is the stars

I stopped reading at “sunnier climes.”

I should have listened more closely to Al. Gore

  19. Poor today, stating the obvious I know. The inability to cross the ball was and is our main problem on the pitch.

Thought the two CB’s did well. Brown lead by example when he came on. Pity few followed.

The young lad McGregor needs to learn to go outside sometimes and deliver the centre.

Guidetti will score goals if we get the delivery.

Sorry Stokes, will never learn, a half hearted selfish player who should not be near a Celtic team.

Tricoloured Ribbon………….that figure probably accounts for Liverpool’s spend over last and the current season..

    ….

Yes hank, but Rodgers has signed a pile of scrap.

He has spent over 200 mill.

Suarez was carrying them last season.

Liverpool had no injuries to key players last season, had the league in their hands and blew it.

    Rodgers is a mediocre manager.

  21. hotshot,

I thought the very same about McGregor. The guy in front of me thought he was our best player. To me, he stopped our movement by turning back on to his left foot each and every time instead of driving at their defence.

  22. Looking at today’s EPL results, I am reminded that football has a way of throwing up the odd shock score.

Motherwell played NOT to lose today and almost surprised themselves.

Strange how they cannot do the same when they visit Ibrox.

  23. So Neil turned a blind eye when the lads tucked into the occasional golfers grill, can’t beat the auld health food.

    Bow,

The manager is not learning from his mistakes.

Not sure I agree re giving time, long term projects are good if your in the 3rd division,we are not. Looking a bit like Le Guen at the moment good noises, correct in theory but not happening on the Park.

We(He ) should have a core team by now,we dont.

Comments after every game strange as if he was not watching thoroughly.

  26. I’m never one to offer a knee jerk reaction, but this current team is simply not good enough by any stretch of the imagination. They are a very poor imitation of the Celtic I grew up watching. Perhaps indicative of current times but they will struggle to win the SPL this season unless they sort themselves out good time.

On the subject of the Green brigade may I just say, and expect pelters for saying it, but I remember in my day we had 80,000 members of the Green brigade. What the hell has happened to the Celtic support these days. For Christ’s sake get behind the team, all of you and perhaps we may improve. Are the Green brigade fans the only ones who support our team. Have a word Celtic fans, have a word!!

  27. Dubaibhoy-Ur they still deid? on

    Ever tried Norwegian cheese?

It looks and tastes like caramac and they eat it on crackers for brekkie…

  28. Tricoloured Ribbon

I’m prepared to give the new guy the whole season. Celtic were diminishing as we fell further behind. Innovation is required as we don’t have the dosh, some luck and time required too in my estimation.

Wakaso looks like a player and will hopefully deliver a cross ball. We have lacked that for some time. I’m all for the introduction of professional behaviours and whatever benefits the likes of sports science can bring.

Change needs time, luck and patience mate.
