Those who knew him know he was stone mad daftie but a lovelier ghuy you couldn’t meet.

did some one on here say pre_season that typically Ange’s second year usually makes his first year look ordinary?

Good morning all from Govanhill. A fine day in store, pub and bookies due a visit. Oh aye, a full rerun of us thrashing the huns. It’s a hard life. 👍🇮🇪🍻

  5. That was a very definitive sporting statement of intent to retain the league title by Ange Postecoglous’s team yesterday, I know we are at the beginning of September and there is a lot of football to be played yet, but ! IMO I can’t see Sevco stopping Ange’s juggernaut from romping to the title

MOTM yesterday was Matt O’Reilly, born in England eligible to play for Denmark and Norway 21 years of age, at present EPL prices this lad is worth every penny of a 50 million valuation, one 50 yard pass alone in the first half for Abada just took my breath away as it bent around a defender for Abada to drive onto, perfect weight and pace on it, to outshine both Cal-mac and Hatate is some doing best player on the pitch, the combination of that midfield trio is a delight to watch

Loved our fearless determination to as our antipodean genius would say “play our football” in the face of hacking pulling elbowing cheating tactics were a joy, and the good guys won with relentless tempo and desire to play beautiful inventive football, Jota is an entertainer a crowd pleaser, loved his stance after an exquisite chip with a fist in the air in front of the hordes reminded me of black athletes iconic salute at the olympics

Embarrassing and predictable was Nick Walsh’s performance yesterday as the supposed arbiter in charge of applying the 17 laws of the game, conflicted by his connection to Sevco FC working with the staff of that club’s youth system in his role as an educator of that club’s youth players, any other professional would declare a conflict of interest those being both personal and professional and rule themselves out from the game, sadly it tells us all of the shocking state Scottish refereeing is in Nick Walsh felt entitled to be on that pitch

Tuesday sees footballing royalty arrive at paradise, the current champions of Europe have worn the iconic white strip since their inception in 1920 the honorific title of Real Spanish for royal was bestowed to the club by King Alfonso XIII, and many of us have wanted this draw to once again seeing our rebellious Fenians in our iconic hoops take the crown down again

Exciting times, exhilarating football to watch, calimero Lynch will be along soon no doubt

Hunger has no race. It has no religion. It has no sexual orientation or gender. And now – even in Glasgow – hunger doesn’t wear club colours.

Proud of what we achieved today. Big thanks to @GersFoodBanks

for coming along (hope you enjoyed the game as much as us😉)

    aff oot enjoy your day

  7. Gooooooood morning all Celts everywhere from a very, very rain lashed Garngad

Any word on Kyogo or Starfelt?

What a performance from the team yesterday beating the Queens 11

    Wow just wow

Bring on the Kings 11 now.

    D :)

  8. A lot of their fans want GVB shown the door which is just madness. However he should probably think about leaving them for his own sake, he has built some credit up over the last year, Europa Final, qualifying for CL and winning a cup. That’s a decent record which will have clubs interested in him. The longer he stays there the less attractive his record will look because he isn’t getting anywhere near Ange, this season or next.

  9. Nick Walsh is conflicted and should have raised this with his boss (Crawford Allan). — re Lionsroar67 above.

Ultimately Ian Maxwell should have stepped in but he aids and abets what is going on surrounding SFA & Rangers.

Goldson should have seen red twice yesterday one for the elbow on Jota and one for the dangerous high challenge on Maeda. A conflicted Walsh decided he would keep Goldson on the park so he could face the rangers employees on Monday. All sanctioned by Ian Maxwell.

The SFA corruption and cheating to help the Ibrox club needs EUFA to declare the incumbent SFA as not fir for purpose.

Well done to Ange & players — fantastic football. Could have been 7 or 8 with a level playing field.

Also notice the conflicted compliance officer has to go. Why does he not go on gardening leave while drafting in an independent overseas referee. We cannot have Maxwell go back to his Freemason contacts list.

    Aha, ha, ha,ha ………

    That 4th goal.

    Sums them up.

That’s why I woke this morning wondering why good European teams struggle against them?

Maybe Celtic are just brilliant 😀👌😉

That’s why I woke this morning wondering why good European teams struggle against them?

    ………………………………………………….

    Indeed.

I am hoping that soon that can be rephrased as ‘why good European teams struggled against them’.

  12. Just about come back down to Earth after yesterday. What an amazing performance. What an incredible atmosphere! I’m so, so happy about all things Celtic’s compared to how I felt at this time last year (I won’t even mention to the year before). Ange is unbelievable. A fantastic manager who is overcoming all obstacles and the Club is now riding high on the crest of a wave. Credit to those responsible for backing Ange’s vision financially and helping to restore us to this position.

The games can’t come quickly enough. Real Madrid will be a formidable challenge on Tuesday night but it will be great to see us compete at that level. Yesterday we were sublime. Our players, to a man, were terrific. Young Abada is developing brilliantly and can’t stop scoring.

It’s great to be a Tim at the moment.

  13. Don’t usually enter the Jobo POTD because I don’t get to see them often, but how lucky was I to arrive back in Glasgow on Friday and my cousin Craig gave me his ticket. What a game to be at, my voice is still croaky.

Jobo my three which was incredibly difficult was Ange Ange and Ange , no sorry O’Reilly, Abada and Jota. What a joy to watch, Hatate and Callum destroying them too with both full backs terrorising them, and the centre backs having them in their pockets.

Then all the rest equal second. What a game, amazing happy atmosphere. Pure joy in the Jock Stein. My only complaint was that the bhoys scored most of the goals in front of the Sevvies 😝 leaving just that one assist from McLaughlin. DT made a nice we thank you of that. Celebrated with my cousins last night and today meeting the blue side of the family in town where after some 4thought and 4 the day we won’t take about the fitba 4 sure.

  14. LUCKY CODY

The ref yesterday was very bad. Lundstrum got away with murder once again. Kent clips Abada’s legs in the box and he doesn’t give a pen, Goldson should have been sent off at least once if not twice.

It’s a testament to how superior we were that his display couldn’t save them from getting a hiding.

I also noticed with both Sky and the BBC, commentators refuse to call these decisions out. A silence descends when the referee makes a balls of it. In Walkers case he actually agrees with the ref, he thinks it’s ok to take someone’s legs in the box if it’s accidental !

  15. Jackiemac 9.21am

I laughed at that when I heard Jota :-)

Jota & GT actually remind me of Simon Donnelly and Jackie McNamara … but even better

Jota is quite special, all the tricks in the world but actually uses them to great effect

  16. The sheer delight on the faces of the players after every goal just adds to my delight. What a spirit our manager has instilled. Long may it be. The players seem to be supporters now. Great to see.

GFTB – Exactly. Pure joy at a beautiful goal.

Guys seriously Jotas goal is class and his celebration is straight out of the 60s/70s standing head bowed and fist che style, just like the players of the 70s.

Reminds me more of Tommie Smith and John Carlos than Che Guevara. No idea what, if any, significance there is to it.
