   Giakoumakis and Maeda now on a combined total of seventeen goals since the winter break! The biggest upside of that stat is there’s absolutely no need to rush Kyogo back.

   Talking of hat-trick man Giorgos Giakoumakis, Ange Postecoglou stresses that the Greek striker had his team-mates, including strike partner Daizen Maeda, to thank for setting up his chances.

    

    

   “Got his goals well, but I thought he and Daizen worked had for us and I thought Jota was really bright on the ball,” the Celtic manager tells BBC Scotland.

    

    

   Australia midfielder Tom Rogic was forced off with an ankle knock as County defender Kayne Ramsay was sent off for a strong challenge with Celtic already 3-0 up.

    

    

   “Hopefully Tom is not too bad and he goes away with the national team – we’ll see how he is then,” Postecoglou adds.

    Had my doubts about GG. Not because of anything he did/didn’t do here but his record was patchy prior to last season and that year looked like an outlier. A missed penalty and a spell on the sidelines later and I was getting a bit concerned.

     

     

    More than happy to eat humble pie regarding Celtic players and he now looks undroppable.

     

     

    He reminds me a bit of Jardel – big, physical but always seems to be in the right place at the right time to score the “scruffy” goals. Something we lacked last season and at the start of this.

     

     

    The question is, where does Kyogo fit in?

    How bizarre, and even worthy Don Robertson gave up denying Celtic penalties, after he waited till we’d won a game by the length of London Rd. He contributed to Tom Rogic’s near ankle snap, when like the penalties, he ignored rash challenges and Ross Country’s adrenalin rush merely gained momentum as they faced the first half Ange ball onslaught. The SFA’s daisy chain of crap rarely seen, out of Scotland, but once or twice chased out of Europe, have played their part in Celtic’s mere six/seven point lead.

     

     

    Sunshine and Celtic go, a bench stoked with big back up, the result a formality and RC’s recent form a statistic meaning little when Parkhead beckons, Giakoumakis struck twice, and assisted Daizen Maeda the Celtic metronome, for his Stevie Chalmer’s like re direction. GG’s demon casting rolled in penalty, was a sign ( They’ll tell ya? ) with Spitting Blood FC waiting on the horizon the recall of Kyogo, might tip some over the edge before we’ve gotten out of Govan.
