  1. THE EXILED TIM

McLean pulled out the sympathy card in the second.

Went back to the old same rules don’t apply to both teams scenario.

In what i saw of huns game i thought ref used interpretation rules also.

Watched huns play through back of Well players with impunity but every Well challenge of the same was punished with a foul.In an even looking game Huns had 9 fouls to Wells 15 which lends substance to what i saw.

  2. Nice solid win today, no less than expected.

Regarding all the “what do we have to do to clinch the title” type questions…

Win our remaining home games against Aberdeen and Sevco, then notwithstanding a catastrophic collapse and a seismic swing in goal difference, the title is ours regardless of all other results.

Two more wins from seven games, that’s all we need, as long as it is those two games… otherwise three wins should do it.

  3. JMCCORMICK on 31ST MARCH 2018 4:50 PM

Right, am half pished now…,so please be blunt. Can we win the league before the split?

*Depends on the sheeps next 2 games, both away at for park and swinecastle. We are already 28 goals ahead of them so 3 dropped points and they won’t catch us.

Deidco should gub the broons and oor wullies favourite team next Saturday so wins for us at home tae the same mob on Wednesday and then away tae parks busses other team on the Sunday with a 17 or more goal cushion should be good enough.

  4. The midweek games should be interesting, a draw or a win for the Sheep puts them second a win for Lennie’s Hibs, sees them breathing down the Orcs neck and all three of them watching us widening the gap in a relentless surge toward tile No. 7

    Interesting times on planet earth:))

  5. Fan-A-Tic

My eyes told me that the huns didn’t get what they normally would have, they were still favoured right enough, but there was things given against them that surprised me.

As for Brother McLean, he is a cheat, simple as that.

  6. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    Heyho,here we go,

Got to be perfectly honest, and GIRUY,ya establishment and hun basss,I canny see yeez stopping this.

Seven is a magic number for Celtic. That’s due, over the line.

The huns would love to stop The Ten. I reckon, they know, they’ll be lucky to stop the twenty.

  7. !!BADA BING!! on 31ST MARCH 2018 5:14 PM

Hendry before Boyata for me now…

The problem is Hendry being cup tied. I’d imagine BR wants to play Ajer and chosen partner before the semi final. Simunovic is injured, as usual, so that leaves Boyata. Manager obviously has obviously had enough of him, asked post match what his injury was he said no injury, tactical substitution.

Ajer and Hendry should be the partnership for the CL qualifiers.

  8. Nye Bevans' rebel soldier on

Routine win, Armstrong MOTM, who was the person

speaking to the GB at KO?,i’m in 112 couldn’t quite catch

    what was getting said.

  9. BADA BING

Neither Boyata or Hendry put a foot wrong today.

Did Brendan just want to give both game time or was Dedryck injured.

I still reckon Brendan will go with experience in semi.

Dedryck was mince at ibrox but in mitigation he had just returned from injury and in many previous games has dominated the huns.

    Hendry was excellent at Ibrox.

    Difficult decision.

  10. I’m taking first game after split as the earliest day we win the Title.

I know that if we are 15 ahead with 15 to play with our goal difference we can’t be beaten but technically you are not crowned Champions until no other team can reach your points total.

  11. We can play Hendry in the cup – just go to Dundee and buy his history then alter it accordingly – simples :)

  12. !!Bada Bing!! on 31st March 2018 5:15 pm

Great ovation for Jorge Cadete at HT; what might have been if he stayed…

    ============================

Or even been allowed to play from the date we signed him…

    ———————————–

In from watching that THING assault Broony.

I say THING because it’s quite obviously a HUN that has somehow made it to the top of Scoddish Fidba by default of being big and brutal and a HUN.

No quality player, captaining a side at Celtic Park – a side who NEED a result to stave off relegation and save livelihoods – would let their childhood HUN conditioning take over when they were still tenuously in the game at 0-1.

The temptation to maim the hated Celtic skipper was just too much for THING and he reverted to his HUN instincts, discarded the professional requirements of his position – or his colleagues futures – for the ned sake of Orc plaudits and took the opportunity to play the pussy coward’s part and stamp on a falling Broon.

Luckily for Broony his timing was as pish as his career and our captain avoided gelding status.

As for THING – just sine die it and save Scoddish Fidba another decade of wannabee Tim-maimers coming through. Pathetic waste of a pro contract.

  13. Gerryfaethebrig on

Not saw any of the game yet but delighted Moussa, Stuart & Tom all scored, three players who scored loads for us last season who have all missed loads of games this season, and delighted Leigh our best goalscorer & Paddy are also now getting some game time after injuries there’s 5 players who probably scored a high percentage of our goals in the invincible season

    Good times

  14. is it safe to come out now, that was so stupid last night, fellow tims falling out, twice i tried to make a joke of it but fairhill bhoy was having none of it ,was going to let it go but he brought my late father into it so i retalliated apologies to the blog, since found out his sister is not well, what do you say to that i honestly hope fairhill bhoys sister is okay life is to short.hh.

  15. CorkCelt

Your Munster boys have had some great wins over the years but today’s 20 19 against Toulon was right up there.

Pulse just about settling an hour later.

  16. Delighted to see Stuart Armstrong play so well today, I thought he was finished with us but today was excellent (hope it’s not just cos his contract is running down)

  17. i thought we played very well today, very enjoyable , both tom and stuart were desperate to score,

    downsides –

the game was a sell out, but 5000 or so season book holders were not there. probably on holiday, but still , get your tickets passed on.

next the eejit of a supporterin 123 , from ulster, spewing absolute shite at scotty and james from the kick off.

summed up with , send him back to manchester.

    with supporters like this. hmmm

  18. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Just back from our game. We played some nice stuff , a clean sheet with Stuart’s and Tom’s goals being very well taken.

My gripe about today’s game was McLean not taking any action against County’s 25, James O’Brien ex of Celtic . I counted 5 fouls and he got away with another three particularly a nasty one in the first half on Stuart when McLean played advantage.

  19. Routine win enjoyed from up the CelBaltic end.

That awkward moment when you go to the loo, and wonder why the crowd are singing the John Guidetti song? and nip back in time to see Jorge Cadette as usual pull the wrong ticket from the windfall terrarium.

That awkward moment when you realise you’re two layers short of where you should be, and that the freakish Glasgow winter weather that just refuses to play the game, has got you again.

Despite the sell out crowd many season ticket holders had the game down for a holiday, and they missed a clinical but 3rd gear afternoon where Celts were kept back only by the notoriously blatant Steven MacLean whose head shakes when Celtic are being fouled.

We swept the ball about for 90 minutes and it was always too cold for subbed James Forrest and even earlier fully bathed Dedryk Boyata , both were in too big a hurry to get rid of the ball, to anybody.

The Green Brigade made up in passion for the missing Keiran and Callum’s defensive side was never tested in the straight swop. Ross County’s one tactic team is never easy to breach but Tom Rogic and Stuart Armstrong ouzed class throughout, both scoring fine goals and the scoreline in the end was just fair, after Moussa’s perfection from the spot.

That awkward moment near the end of the game when it dawns on you that ‘Big Stephen’ is the nickname for our half time sub Jack.

M.O.M Stuart ( playing like he wants away © CQN ) Armstrong

  20. Good to see an entertaining performance at Celtic Park.

We looked our best for a long time, much of which must be down to Stuart Armstrong. He brings the best out of Scott Sinclair, Tom Rogic and Calum MacGregor.

At times, some of our football was reminiscent of last season. Things are looking good.

  21. My friends in Celtic.

Have a couple of despicable big mouthed managers made it open season for all assailants on Scott Brown.?

We as a club should have nipped their comments in the bud. If only to physically protect our captain, not to mention his reputation.

HH to all, and especially to those who made the effort today.

  22. Good performance by all the bhoys today, 3 points nearer to 7IR. However I am feckin raging (again) with these cheating puck figs referees, I mean 1 minute injury time when I’ve got a 4-0 correct score on, apart from the usual celtic refereeing rules performed by brother mclean.

  23. Bain played well today. Sign of good Celtic keeper is concentration so when on the few occasions he is called into action he makes save. Great save early on and another couple late in the game. Much better than de vries, pity he can’t play on Wednesday

  24. incredible win OK Pete, it has been a great sporting day in this house.

I have gone to a few of the Munster games but by and large I am a TV fan.

  25. Didn’t get to see the game today – other commitments! ?

However, very pleasant meal before hand with Hot Smoked, Angel Gabriel, Pogue, DD and BRTH.

Great result and only a few more wins to hit the glorious 7!

  26. GreeninbingleyinOslo on

Well played the Bhoys. Controlled the game throughout and played good football. Quiff had a great game, as did Tom Rogic, and great to see Griff and Paddy back.

Surprised that Brendan subbed Dedryck at HT – tactical decision? Looked more like a statement.

But the biggest issue IMO was the assault on Scott Brown. There can be no doubt now that Craig Levein’s nasty-minded splutterings on how Scottish football “should be protected from Scott Brown” has created a culture of open season on our captain.

Since Levein said that, Broonie has been subjected to assault after assault. I know the thug who stamped on him today got sent off, but this is now happening game after game. Scythed down in Aberdeen and the ball battered at him point blank by that wee rat Logan, for instance.

Time for the club to show some teeth and come out swinging to protect not just Broonie but James Forrest, Tom Rogic, Kieran and Paddy, all of whom are targeted regularly.

  27. Not long back in, saw some of the hun game, must admit I was surprised how it was refereed in the first half, as for the second half which i caught. mmmmmm

Thought we played really well and tied up the league today… the flag is nailed to the mast.

  28. Delaneys Dunky on

    Just in fae the match.

Remain impressed by Scott Bain. Surely worth a punt in summer. Stuart Armstrong ran that whole game today, complemented by Tom Rogic who glided through the game. Two great composed finishes by them both.

Great pre match meal with VFR, Pog, Angel Gabriel, Hot Smoked JJ and BRTH, was made all the better by meeting the BMCUW and CCB lovely female clan.

Great day oot. Scott Brown is lucky he still has his testicles. Davies is a thug who should be jailed for that stamp.
