Sitting in the front of the Main Stand, really cold day, thinking of going to the food kiosk, for a hot drink and something to eat,but never went takes about 20 minutes to get served, standing in the cold, not good enough for a club like Celtic not to have updated food outlets, Peter Lawell says it would cost about 30 to 40 Million to upgrade the main Stand,ok fine ,but surely in this day and age, they could come up with some upgrading,to the old stand, and we should have , McDonald’s and other good food outlets in place ,

Just like in boxing, I think the ref stepped in to stop it today.
If it means ‘after the king has a boy, what’s the odds on the next child being a girl?’ then the answer is 50/50 (give or take a little bit to take account of the slightly higher odds of it being a boy). ‘Balls don’t have memories’, as statisticians put it.
If it means ‘before the king has children, what’s the odds the first two will be boys?’ then presumably the answer is 1 in 4 (give or take as before).
“James Forrest and even earlier fully bathed Dedryk Boyata , both were in too big a hurry to get rid of the ball, to anybody. ”
I think James had two assists and they did not come from blind luck.

DB was poor today , twice in the first half he made poor mistakes under no pressure with the ball at his feet, both times BR went straight into the dugout , he didn’t look a happy bunny , no sign of DB in the second half.

Ernie,
To be honest I don’t see how it’s ambiguous.
If a fella has two kids and ones a boy the odds on the other being a girl is two thirds and it’s that simple.
If taken by themselves then yes it’s a 50 50,,
But we were advised at the start we are dealing with two children which changes the odds.
Corkie etc are looking at the kids as two singular events and that’s where they are wrong ,,smiley face.

Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on
Bourne, well said Brendan . A nice put down to an irrelevant question.
That traffic on Dalmarnock Road today , all the way back to the traffic lights on Stonelaw road , was a nightmare.
I got the bus down as my wife had the car . The 18 I was on , was late due to the congestion from the lights on Stonelaw Road. The next two 18’s due after it, caught up with the one I was on by the time we got to Farme Cross.
I know it won’t happen but after McLean’s performance today , we should be asking the SFA not to give him an more of our games . When Davies stamped on Broonie , O ‘Brien initially fouled him but never got a deserved yellow for the foul on Broonie.
ron67 on
agree the ref was shocking today especially the second half, i lost count on the number of times SS was fouled and no free kicks given .
From the minute Levein ( he of the 4-6-0 formation v Belgium) opened his big mouth and accused Broonie of being too aggressive, practically some closet Hun in every game since has tried to leave their mark on Scott.
Matter of time before we lose Broonie for a good few games . Thuggery.
It’s a disgrace the amount of hammer throwers that ply their trade in the SPL.
Betcha the twat that done our Captain today had already told his pals of his intention. Hope the next time we play them someone ends his career with a leg breaker. Revenge is a dish…….
As well as the Dalmarnock Roadworks, I found out today there were no trains running through Cambuslang, so I had to come in from the Sterling Furniture end of London Road- just arrived in time.

Well played to the Celts today. We are nearly there and it feels good.
I’m in the 50/50 camp. Seems to me there are four possibles, not three. If elder/younger sister counts as two outcomes then elder/younger brother equally should be counted as two outcomes.
1) If you know that the first child is a boy (or a girl) then the odds on the 2nd being a boy or a girl is 50:50.
2) The puzzle seems to want to have its cake and eat it by telling you we know the first child is a boy, but still holding on to 3 or 4 possibilities (BB, BG, GB or GG).
3) If you know that the first child is a boy, your 4 options are reduced to 2 i.e. 50:50 again
4) If you are asked to calculate odds NOT knowing that the first child was a boy, but only know that the king has 2 children and that IF one of them is a boy, you are asked to calculate the odds of both being boys, then the odds of both being boys becomes 1 in 3, because, of the 4 variants (BB, BG, GB and GG), only one can be ruled out – the GG option. You cannot rule out the GB or BG options because they remain in play as you don’t know the first born was the boy. They could have had their only boy as the younger of a pair i.e. , GB.
5) I fully understand TET’s and Corkcelt’s frustration because it seems we WERE told that the first child was a boy. In which case only 50:50 can be calculated.
My head now hurts before I have taken to drink.

Irrelevant indeed.
Sevco’s result would only be relevant to the managers of Aberdeen and Hibs, who realise that second and third places are up for grabs.
Goodnight all, had a very decent day out in Glasgow. Good food, drink and company. Football results were okay also, Trying to post anything on this blog with constant ad breaks and having to change from portrait to landscape has worn me down.

Surely a Liverpool Gary Gillespie, Jack has probably played more minutes in the hoops :-)
By the way when we signed Gary Gillespie I was over the moon but alas Gary didn’t make the impact some of us had hoped for, not getting carried away with Jack or Scott Bain but I enjoy Scottish players for us, Armstrong, MacGregor, Forrest, Griffiths, Tierney a half decent international manager would build a team from that group :-) by the way I am a Craig Gordon fan but would sign Scott Bain in a minute, think we were interested in him a few seasons back, sometimes players in the mid-20s grab their chance, hope he does

Yep- they are assists, whether one yard or 50 yards, whether meant or messed up. In both of James’s cases he meant to pass to the scorer and he did and he did it well. Overall, he had a fine game too and he is still having a fine season. He has contributed much more than Paddy though PR retains the potential to outshine James.
In order for my Celtic POTY, I would have
1- Broony
2- wee Jamesie
3- Laurence Olivier N’tcham
YPOTY should see Kieran edge out young Kris Ajer, but only if Ross McRorie’s not in the final list :-)
Good performance tday. DB….for what he had to do…without any pressure….?

Fair do’s if those are termed ‘assists’, and he shouldn’t require luck to
roll the ball to the next Celtic attacker, which is all he did in essence.
