Better to be sloppy for an hour today than next week, Brendan and the players will learn from today.

Panic stations today in the stadium. Me, I felt calm and was confident the goals would come. An important day in many respects. Better to get that performance out of the way today than at Hampden. That will be the end of GMS, good luck to him elsewhere but he doesn’t cut it in this team. Brendan was outstanding again in the way he changed the game, no messing about. Bitton was hooked immediately after his booking and rightly so. Griffiths looks lean. Eboue tidy and I loved the tackle. Roberts, just sign him up please. You sense there will be repercussions going forward, no doubt Brendan will be forensic in his analysis. The Huns will suffer next week.

Good afternoon friends. Remained orwtty cakm in the ole standing section today whilst many around me were sounding twitchy. And fair play to St Mireen for comibg and havibg ago without resorting to industrial tackling. Indeed cruncher of the day went to Eboue who took ball and evrything else out on the touchline. Which was nice.
Still hoping for an All Green final so would prefer Aberdeen or Partick (if they score) in the semi.
Thought GMS had a very good game, created chances won tackles and looks faster and stronger than he has ever looked, thinking he just needs to get used to his new strength and speed.

The SFA will be in a pickle who to give the huns, Hibs is the obvious one but they know it will kick off in the stands, you can imagine the blazer staring at the freezer not knowing which ball to put in and hoping the Thistle score to late goals

GMS was getting loads of abuse from “fans” in the place I watched the game, Brendan was complimentary of him and his effort, Mark Wilson said during the week that GMS (like most wingers) is all about confidence, I only caught the last hour and for me GMS kept at it, maybe tired the fullback out for Paddy to take advantage :-)

Before today, no Earthling had opened the scoring against us at Celtic Park since 19th October.

GMS was also gettin moans and groans fae the North Stand today. Not from me, but I do not think he will make it here due to lack of confidence in himself.

I’d say it was more to do with the lack bottle playing in front of big crowds, I expect BR to make the difference, it’s his job, and the bhoy has a lot of quality.
The obvious weakness in GMS is his right foot he seems unable to use it to any extent and that is going to limit his effectiveness at the level Celtic play at, I dont know if he can be taught to use it more but the way he holds his balance would appear to say no, put plenty effort in today but nothing came off for him.
On Celtic tv you could hear the groans from crowd when GMS failed.
It seemed to effect his confidence.
Also his footwear choice seemed to be working against him as he kept losing his footing.
The pitch is the worst in along time.
Do we need a new groundsman?
Brendan is right to demand a new surface as it’s stifling our creativity.
Regarding the BDO appeal against the Court of Session judgement in favour of HMRC in the EBT case, my recollection is that the SFA stated at the time of Nimmo Smith’s “judgement” that his ruling would stand even if EBTs were finally ruled to be unlawful.
If my recollection of this piece of stupidity from the SFA is correct is there any legal avenue to rectify matters? HH
He has thouhened up physically just needs to do the same mentally and I see BR as the right man to make that happen.

I am starting to feel sorry for GMS, the way I did with Efe latterly. Was glad he was hooked for Patrick, as I could see he was trying too hard and failing today. Great player on his day, but not enough for us I fear.

The wee man had a terrific run last season scoring 6 or 7 important goals in a short space of time, am sure BR knows far more than me (or the moaners & groaners :-)
Over the moon Leigh came on and scored, Moussa has been outstanding but the longer the Griff stays at Celtic park the happier I will be, the Bhoy scores goals for a wee while I thought BR had decided he wasn’t in his plans, delighted to be incorrect yet again
