Celtic Park was packed with an expectant crowd 11 years ago when Celtic took a two goal lead into the second leg of a Champions League play-off round. Many of us felt it was to be a sort of Coming of Age. After our long hard slog throughout the 90s we were champions and ruthlessly swept aside Ajax in the first leg.
After the full time whistle arms were aloft in celebration but only after an incredibly tense 90 minutes which saw the visitors win the game and fail to convert some decent chances.
Four years after our last entry into the Champions League this new Celtic side have a Coming of Age opportunity tonight. Last season they showed their mettle to overcome a daunting deficit early in the season to win as comfortable champions, with or without penalties applied to opponents for employing more footballers than they could afford.
While the players may reach a new stage in their development tonight is as much about the supporters who have been part of the struggle in recent seasons. This is your reward for all those hard times when your club paid their bills but had victory snatched away from them by others who were playing to different rules.
Bring your singing voice tonight.

Anybody know if we are able to exit the joint sponsorship deal with tennents.
Our original partners are about to be liquidated yet a brand new club in the 3rd division are sporting almost identical kit with the tennents logo. (All that’s missing is the 5 stars)
To the outside world you could be excused for thinking this brand new club is our joint partner, which I pray to god It’s not.
What would be in it for us to get in tow with a bunch of bullying, lying, cheating bigots.
We made the mistake once. No more joint deals with any club that represents the very worst of society.
………….
We DO NOT have a joint sponsorship deal with Rangers (IA) or Sevco andTennents or anybody else for that matter.
We signed a sponsorship deal with Tennents and so did they, but they are not linked to each other.

Stuck in not-so-sunny Aberdeen. Wont make tonights game but I’m confident that a professional performance will see us through safely enough.
So I’m off to The Brig for a shandy and to generally shout and annoy as many huns as is humanly possible! Got to leave now as they will be away before K.O.
Enjoy the game one and all….HH

It will be interesting to see how they manage to compete with us in future, you can bet your bottom dollar underhanded shooshiness will be part of the MO and as you know nobody in meaningful position will be willing to ask of investigate.

35,000 Yanks are in Dublin to watch Notre Dame play at the Aviva stadium this Saturday.
When those Americans finally take a keen interest in soccer, our club must to prepared to tap into, and exploit what will be a huge commercial market for our own unique brand.
My family and I are travelling over on Fri night for the game on Saturday.
The Temple Bar area has been given over to the Fighting Irish fans to get a drink before the game, with buses being laid on to take people to the game from there.
The Notre Dame team and officials are attending Mass at Dublin Castle on Saturday morning.
The team’s marching band is marching through Dublin before the game as well.
It should be a magnificent occasion.
Are you going?

Hi everyone,
As unlikely as I think this will be, does anyone know where I could see the match in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia? It would be great if ou could somehow help me out amd I’m sure the wife would appreciate me being out the house.
Much appreciated!
sky will block RTE once the game starts
Everyone enjoy the game tonight.
Cheer the bhoys from first whistle to the last.
I doubt Helsinborg have seen/heard anything like a Celtic Park atmosphere on a European night.
