CONFIRMED: KYOGO OUT, GIAKOUMAKIS IN

1

TALISMANIC striker Kyogo Furuhashi is OUT of Celtic’s starting line-up for tonight’s crucial Champions League Group F encounter against Real Madrid at a sell-out Parkhead.

The striker was forced off in the 4-0 win over Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Ibrox side at the weekend after just four minutes with a shoulder injury.

Kyogo was replaced by Giorgos Giakoumakis and the Greek powerhouse is in again against the trophy holders with the Japanese hitman among the stand-by squad.

REAL DEAL…Reo Hatate is in against the European champions.

Earlier reports that indicated Reo Hatate would also be missing with David Turnbull in his place have proved to be erroneous with the playmaker who started on Saturday in his usual spot.

The Hoops go into the glamour clash in the realisation the home games will be crucial in their attempts to be successful in a section that also boasts Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig and Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk who meet in Germany tonight with an 8pm kick-off.

The Scots have a 100 per cent record in the current crusade with six wins in the league, including a 9-0 rout against Dundee United at Tannadice.

TEAM: Hart; Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Jenz, Taylor; Hatate, McGregor, O’Riley; Abada, Glakoumakis, Jota: Subs: Siegrist, Bain, Kyogo, Haksabanovic, Mooy, Turnbull, McCarthy, Bernabei, Maeda, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh.
