Breaking news! Craig Whyte agrees to sell his shares for £1*!!!
So the story goes. The * is important. *He’s agreed to sell his shares for £1 if a CVA is agreed. Coincidentally, this decision comes a day after Ticketus inform journalists (and perhaps Mr Whyte’s briefs) that they will sue the Rangers owner for £27m.
Of course, if a CVA is agreed, Ticketus still own the tickets for the next three seasons they bought from Rangers in the early months of Whyte’s tenure. They therefore cannot pursue Craig Whyte. Get a CVA – get Ticketus’ lawyers off your case.
Channel 4’s very well informed, Alex ‘Tomo’ Thompson, who appears to have spoken to Mr Whyte tonight, reminds us all of the crux of the matter:
“And then that leaves the floating charge Mr Whyte has over Rangers – effectively another large separate financial stake in the club and I can reveal this is still to be negotiated away somehow. This is where the tough-talk has still very much to be done.”
Despite the headlines, it appears that Craig Whyte remains….. The Only Show in Town. He’ll assist a CVA but the “tough-talk” over the stadium, his real asset, has still to take place.
Let’s not mention the chances of getting a CVA past HMRC.

UEFA confirm again they will treat CVAs like NEWCOs ie 3 year ban
This comes back to a point I made last night. The UEFA Club License is required to play in European competition – and to play in the SPL.
So if UEFA don’t give them one, and the SFA can’t, then there is no Newco in the SPL for three years.

Blue Knights have said if no decision made by then that they are going for lunch.
Will it be Eggs Benedict and Fish followed by jelly and ice cream?
Kennedy comment…
“If our bid is not accepted in the next few hours then, most reluctantly, we will have to withdraw from the process by lunchtime,” he said.
“Let me be absolutely clear. This is not brinkmanship or an empty threat.
“We have a plan to save this club but my lawyers, Walker Morris, have advised me it will not be possible to execute a CVA unless, on Saturday morning, we begin working, full-time and flat out on due diligence and documentation.
“Any later than that and our plan cannot be delivered with any legal certainty.
“For that reason we’ll be forced to withdraw our offer today and neither I nor any member of the Blue Knights consortium will be left as the last man standing.”
Heard a story that last Saturday that a band from Rutherglen was seen performing at its loathsome worst outside a Catholic Church in Manchester.
Why would anyone want them to die?
“I just hope that the new owners priorities are . . .
. . . bringing back Donald Findlay and The Billy Boys, it’s been downhill all the way since these Stalwarts were given the push by a gutless previous owner who has since disappeared off the map. !”
“All proddy starting 11.”
“Bring back ‘the policy'”

Kennedy’s quotes in the press this morning were hilarious. He knows full well the UEFA rule and that a CVA is impossible. Part of me actually wants this muppet to take them over. It is all bluster to try and placate the inevitable violence from a large section of the Rangers support when the brown stuff hits the fan
They want a take-away ….. take away the debt, takeaway the asbestos, takeaway the shame.
Duff & Phelps have confirmed that the new deadline for R@ngers bids is the 12th of never.
quonno, wouldn’t surprise me. Pretty sure he was nowhere near the top of the Lennys list, but he must have been on it somewhere… Even when he signed Lenny was quoted as saying he might give us more presence etc, but looking at the guy…no one thought so. No one thought that about Larsson either but the proof is in the pudding… if Brozek was any use in training he’d have gotten more game time.
Re. Newcastle. Just ask them if the current management have any chance of bringing back the glory day. In my experience some of them like the huns, some are typical arrogant Englishmen with the resulting attitude toward Celtic and the SPL in general, and some of them are sound.

Rangers’ SFA appeal to be heard on Wednesday. Panel named as Rt Honourable Lord Carloway (Chair), Craig Graham, Allan Cowan
I can’t believe that the SFA have named the panel this time. Spineless idiots!
you can shine you’re shoes
and wear a suit
you can comb your hair
and look quite cute
you can hide your face
behind a smile
one thing you can’t hide
is when you’re crippled inside
you wear a mask
and paint your face
you can call yourself
the human race
you can wear a collar
and a tie
but the one thing you
can’t hide is when you’re
crippled inside
well now you know that your
cat has nine lives babe
nine loves to itself
but you only got one
and a dog life ain’t no fun
mamma take a look outside.
you can go to church
and sing a hymn
judge me by the color
of my skin
you can live a lie until you die
one thing you can’t hide
is when you’re crippled inside.
Looking at b kennedy’s quotes in the scotsman, he seems very optimistic of getting a CVA. I make no bones about it – i am desperate for the Vermin to be killed off – i despise everything they stand for. Can anyone reassure me a bit about Kennedy’s statement? Is a CVA a realistic alternative? (i hope and pray that it isn’t).

Blue Knight Lunch
Meet at 12.30
deadline of 12.15 to be seated
anyone attending after this time will not be part of the process
Payment to be made in full prior to ordering.
Child places are not available
For the benefit of Mr MCoist, it should be noted that it is 1 starter 1 main course and 1 dessert each
Brian Kennedy confirms the amount of walking away and walking back again has played havoc with his shoe leather budget but his calves have never been in better shape.

So the SFA have once more become the huns patsy.
Naming the panel because of sallys last call to arms.
Yet some people still hope they will apply the rules to the huns.
No chance!!

Mornin All,
Can someone confirm what the deadline is for today’s deadlines?
Thanks in advance.
Utterly disgraceful behaviour from the SFA in making the panels identity public
You can rest assured that those 3 individuals will now be making a decision bearing in mind their personal safety
I fully expect the transfer ban to be quashed
The SFA should hang their heads in shame
LuxCelt – for a CVA to be attained HMRC will have to very publicly go against their published criteria for CVA acceptance. Rangers OldCo do not meet any of the criteria.
HMRC are not a business, they do not place getting as much money in as possible as there number 1 driving force.
Enforcement is the primary duty of HMRC. Getting a few million quid in in the short term will cost them countless millions in the long run by setting an extremely public precedent.
HMRC’s previous cosy deals, now being routinely exposed, are politically toxic during a double dip recession. This is the worst possible time for a high profile company to be needing a “favour”.
There will be no CVA.

Newcastle getting a mention this morning….was at Peter Beardsley’s Testemonial also….had a great day, got there mid morning and started touring a few pubs then clubs, remember a miners club in city centre???
Ended up in a bar, full of tims happily singing away, ordered the round and was a bit pricey….not too happy as I thought they were ripping us Tims off, did wonder why it was so busy……then I realised where I was (o)(o) … nudey bar…Ooooh that’s why
DJ annonced to the baying Tims…..”would you please move away from the girls ….they’re starting to get frightened”
Brilliant day…found out a few years later that it was the same bar that the ‘Geordie Dancer’ was in, Soccer AM fame… announced to wifey, that’s the nudey bar I was in down Newcastle :)
For those who were at the CSA rally on Sunday, how good was Neil Lennons speech, standig up for the stand up of NFL.

Off the record press briefing from Duff & Phelps suggesting that a late bid has been tabled this morning by a consortium involving Bill Gates, Gregor Stevens and Sean Batty.
Unconfirmed.
It is a perfect double bind .
CVA / Newco and you get no SPL / Euro football for 3 years.
Don’t go down the Newco route and throw your money into a big black hole..
This will take a while.
Previous Panel members outed and intimidated.
SFA name latest panel in an effort to save McCoist from himself.
