Devil in the * detail over Whyte shares

469

Breaking news!  Craig Whyte agrees to sell his shares for £1*!!!

So the story goes.  The * is important.   *He’s agreed to sell his shares for £1 if a CVA is agreed.  Coincidentally, this decision comes a day after Ticketus inform journalists (and perhaps Mr Whyte’s briefs) that they will sue the Rangers owner for £27m.

Of course, if a CVA is agreed, Ticketus still own the tickets for the next three seasons they bought from Rangers in the early months of Whyte’s tenure.  They therefore cannot pursue Craig Whyte.  Get a CVA – get Ticketus’ lawyers off your case.

Channel 4’s very well informed, Alex ‘Tomo’ Thompson, who appears to have spoken to Mr Whyte tonight, reminds us all of the crux of the matter:

“And then that leaves the floating charge Mr Whyte has over Rangers – effectively another large separate financial stake in the club and I can reveal this is still to be negotiated away somehow. This is where the tough-talk has still very much to be done.”

Despite the headlines, it appears that Craig Whyte remains….. The Only Show in Town.  He’ll assist a CVA but the “tough-talk” over the stadium, his real asset, has still to take place.

Let’s not mention the chances of getting a CVA past HMRC.

It would appear that Kennedy and Murray are trying to put a bit of pressure on the administrators to speed things up a bit.The administrators react by talking about a new deadline date two things then happen 1) the administrators continue to get more fees 2) the prospective buyers back off a bit. I still think the whole mess is a long way from being sorted out and that is if it can be.H.H.

I really don’t think you’re helping matters with comments like that.

A deadline’s a deadline. And there can be as many as are needed to quantify a time frame. The implosion of the space time continuum due to the black hole of hun churnalism means that these time frames are actually quite crucial don’t you know.

So to answer my own question – there is no deadline for the submission of forthcoming deadlines. Time will be manipulated to allow for each additional deadline. However -confusingly – time is quite an important issue here.

anyone attending after this time will not be part of the process

Payment to be made in full prior to ordering.

    Child places are not available

For the benefit of Mr MCoist, it should be noted that it is 1 starter 1 main course and 1 dessert each

    =====================================================

Mr McCoist has accepted (reluctantly) the above ruling, however he has asked if jelly AND ice cream counts as one dessert or two.

I spoke to a guy in the 3 bulls head bar in Newcastle at lunchtime on the same trip.

Beer prices go up at lunchtime for 2 hours.

    They go up after 5pm.

They go up when Newcastle are at home.

Totally bonkers. Never heard anything like it!

Lot of criticism of the Geordies today. Maybe some of it is justified.

I will simply add my own experience of them.

I worked for a while in a steel mill in Jarrow, a long time ago.

I found nothing but friendship & indeed kindness.

Most of them were lovely, helpful people.

    Just one man’s experience.

    beginning to look like it

meanwhile the Scottish media keep every hun cretin believing

when the Huns die i`d bar every journalist, apart from Hugh Mcdonald,Glen Gibbons,Alex Thompson and Phil Mac from CP ….let them shrivel on the vine ….

I’m an older fan, and there is no way I want that shameful institution to survive…… I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to following my beloved Celtic in a purely sporting environment (win, lose or draw)

They took financial /sporting CHEATING (to put it mildly) to a whole new global level and, anywhere else, they would have been consigned to the bin a long time ago……

So UEFA would treated CVA like a Newco? Hmmmmm

I don’t know what I want know. A CVA will allow them to keep their name but have top pay some money back whilst a Newco may allow them to wipe away their debts.

With a CVA they keep their name and their history….which in a few weeks time if the SPL and SFA do not fudge will be besmirched by a finding that they cheated through improper player registration and EBTs with hopefully a number of league titles torn off their jersey. Ohhh and also the fact that they have had 100 and 20 years plus of deliberate religious apartheid.
