Hit them quick and hard

Dundee have not scored a goal since taking a 2-0 lead over Motherwell with 20 minutes remaining earlier this month.  Since then, they have played 200 minutes football, plus added time.  Motherwell battered in three late goals that day to take the points, as Tony Docherty’s defence capitulated.

Their response, was to keep out Aberdeen and Newco, both of whom scored three times against the Celtic defence this month.  That bizarre loss to Motherwell is Dundee’s only defeat since losing 7-1 at Celtic Park in February.  Dundee were a shambles that day, but they reacted with the same fortitude they did to the defeat from Motherwell.

Celtic won 0-3 at Dundee on Boxing Day, albeit the game remained in the balance until late, and we won 3-0 in the first league meeting between the sides this season, in September.  Both these three goal wins were level at the break.

We can conclude that Dundee are a difficult side to predict.  When it goes wrong, it goes wrong quickly and thoroughly, but until then, they have enough composure to subdue most opponents.  So hit them quick and hard.

It’s all getting a bit exciting.

Watched the last 15 minutes of Airdrie v Dundee United game. Dreadful and surprised the after match celebrations didn’t end up in a riot as Utd fans ran up to Airdrie fans.

  6. Congrats to Jim Goodwin and Dundee United on going back up to the SPL as Champions. Job was done last week at Tannadyce, apart from the arithmetic. Be good to be playing them next season and no on Livvy’s plastic nightmare. Think Killie are ditching the ol’ rubber tyres as well. That said Tony Docherty has done a great job at Dundee this season, and are under no pressure against us Sunday. We’ve scored a few against them though, keep doing that and we stay top until we make it back, finally, to Celtic Park.

    Onwards….

Anyway gives a flyin ….what narrative bisgrove is setting. Its not really aimed at Celtic fans is it?

Cqn not lazy journalism used to be the strapline

Now its Cqn not lazy wannabee journalism goin by you excloosively revealing you posted before JF,

Thats the thing with shoite, it still is,but thats no revelation to you.

Wee tip, seperate the dust/shrapnel from a meeja narrative to what is news about Celtic, and try not use folk who are morphing into the very meejah reportage they used to loathe.

Also more blogs etc does not mean you are better informed,it just means in todays info age crap, kack and idle gossip are accepted as fact.

Thats why i asked for a link.it certainly wasnt your original thought(thats a compliment:-)

I knew Phil & Clarkson were related, think that was a major reason he went back to Motherwell

In these days of sports science… I wonder how they would have treated Phil … seemed to get injured as he had a longer stride .. ie .. rapid
