Dundee have not scored a goal since taking a 2-0 lead over Motherwell with 20 minutes remaining earlier this month. Since then, they have played 200 minutes football, plus added time. Motherwell battered in three late goals that day to take the points, as Tony Docherty’s defence capitulated.
Their response, was to keep out Aberdeen and Newco, both of whom scored three times against the Celtic defence this month. That bizarre loss to Motherwell is Dundee’s only defeat since losing 7-1 at Celtic Park in February. Dundee were a shambles that day, but they reacted with the same fortitude they did to the defeat from Motherwell.
Celtic won 0-3 at Dundee on Boxing Day, albeit the game remained in the balance until late, and we won 3-0 in the first league meeting between the sides this season, in September. Both these three goal wins were level at the break.
We can conclude that Dundee are a difficult side to predict. When it goes wrong, it goes wrong quickly and thoroughly, but until then, they have enough composure to subdue most opponents. So hit them quick and hard.
It’s all getting a bit exciting.

1-1 now!
An OG

holy hell
1-1 now. Let’s see if they can chop it off for something.
Southgate would not be impressed.

Mikael Mandron
That’s how you respond.
A deep ball into the box finds Mikael Mandron, who nudges Leon Balogun and squeezes a header in via a kiss off the left-hand post.
Superb striker play, but Jack Butland looked slow to get down to that.
Surely not! He’s the England number 4 keeper! 😳🤷🏼♂️😂😂😂💩

St Mirren 1-1 Rangers
Deja vu vibes from Dingwall for Rangers here.

Let’s hope so. 😃👍😂
Tik tok attempts a 1.5 sideways roll, judges not impressed
huns keeper makes great save to deny buddies a certain goal
I’m not watching it as I’m a jinx, apparently.
I expected St. Mirren to give them a hard game but I’m not sure they’ll drop points while the ref has kept his Free Hit chips on his pocket.
The Red Card and the penalty could still turn this game.
If they drop points today and we win. Say we both win our next game, we can win the title outright against them at CP. with no away fans, that shouldn’t be a scheduling issue. Will just be a massive party with 60,000 Tims. 😃👍🇮🇪🍀⚽️🏆
HT
1-1.
Butland has kept Rangers in this.

Whoa – slow down cowboy!
Loooong way to go …
;-)
Thems haven’t scored from open play since their goal against us.
I’m trying to treat whatever the huns do as irrelevant . Sole 100% focus on winning at Dundee . Then , when the dust settles we will be 3, 5 , or 6 points ahead with 4 league games to go . Any of those three outcomes will be fine .
The hun are an absolute shower of no marks. We shall thrash them twice.
After we thrash the rest.

I think the avoidance of a Glasgow Derby potentially being a league decider for either club is a thing of the past and is nothing more than a media myth nowadays.
As recently as May 2018 Celtic thumped them 5-0 at home to clinch the title. Oh how we celebrated that weekend.
How are we doing?

😂 Can’t help myself.
Have actually stuck in on the radio, as St Mirren more than holding their own and St Mirren the better team this half.

Good point Tom. Think they do try to avoid it, but it is results dependent as we’re seeing.
Let’s hope St Mirren get at least a point here and we do our jobs professionally against Dundee.
Huns getting every decision and St Mirren not getting obvious free kicks. Patterns of assistance continue.
They’ll get 10 minutes of injury time it stays like this.
CELTIC…
Hart, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate, Kuhn, Kyogo, Forrest.
Subs: Bain, Palma, Idah, Yang, Nawrocki, Iwata, Bernardo, Kelly, Ralston
Forrest starts McGregor as well
Good to see wee Jamsie get a starting place.
Probably our strongest team at the minute
Hopefully put the game out of sight by HT. I don’t see many game-changers on the bench.
… Always going to be a bit tricky.. from commentator Hamilton as super Dessers puts his effort wide. Anyone care to explain?
I take it as read that they will win.
Anything else is a bonus, just take care of our own job and we will be fine.

Always going to be a bit tricky
He’s a dud..?
Knew I would jinx it, fgs…
Still. They only lasted 5 minutes before st mirren equalised earlier.
