Too much to ask for Motherwell to do something second half? Hmmmm.

2-0 at half time, same as the home match and the team ended up scrapping for a win. Hopefully the Bhoys have learned from that.

I like having Hopper in our team – he offers a lot in the 6 yard box.. A great instinct for goal. However I think I prefer Stokes. Despite getting less pitch time he scores just asante goals. He will be at Celtic a long time because he’s not fast enough to step up anywhere.. Which is why I think he needs to be more nurtured.
I was delighted we signed him and always felt he was a stick on for 20 goals a season.
I reckon he’ll finish top goal scorer this year… And next!

HT Dunfermline 0-2 Celtic
Dunfermline started well but Celtic took control of the game after 10 mins. Two excellent goals from Stokesie and big Vic. Commentary saying we had 82% possession, that tells you everything you need to know. Strong performances from every Celt out there.

In the clugging stakes Dunfermilne are pussycats compared to
the filth at M’well.
However, they’re certainly the dregs of the SPL. This is the day to up the goal difference.
Young James’s body language a bit disconcerting. Looks very down no?

James F – Freudian slip by Burley – he clearly has in mind the movie he was watching last night!

I love it with the suggestions of half-time substitutions suggestions that would completely change the shape of the team when there is no need.
We are in cruise control, mainly due to playing a vastly inferior opposition who are sitting in so much it makes it impossible to play pretty football in the last third therefore causing us to be patient and keep possession while waiting for the opportunities that will certainly arise.
We are doing absolutely fine , as you were Neil.

Don’t think i’d bring on Mo Bang – still not sure what he offers us. Rather see Paddy McC on in place of Sammi as Sammi not having the best of games so far. Izzy to get a run out some time
Partizan on
Agree wee james could do with a rest. Hooper looking off the pace (but Ive said that before and he’s then scored).
Think Lenny could gamble and make good use of early subs. Game looks won.
And thanks again Lubo.

Anyone notice Burley repeatedly Celtic should have won the last three titles because Rangers are skint? I’m sure they’ve even now still got the most expensively assembled squad in the league.

See no sense in making changes too soon.
When/if game becomes ABSOLUTELY safe then Izzy on for a 15min run around.
Can’t believe Pars wont have a right good go now…nothing to loose. I hope Tic remain focused & active.
I refer you to my earlier post about him, though it was meant in jest.
No doubt my words will be quoted, unattributed,in the rags tomorrow.
Eyes Wide Open on
Looks like the swagger and the complacency has gone – the team has definitely stepped it up a couple of levels to exactly where it needs to be.
Bring back Gregory Dupont – now we know it was Lennoxtown and not his techniques causing muscular sprains and strains – a yard of pace added onto Gary Hooper will add £10m onto his asking price – definitely.

Sammi down as play goes on around him.

Happy New Year to you and yours also. Delighted to see you making a slightly more regular venture on here, say hi to the fellas in The Eglinton.
AWE NAW
If I may be so bold, may I offer the suggestion that you preface ALL your reposts of the daily news digest with the words…..
THIS PIECE MAY HAVE BEEN AWENAWED.
This way none of the satirically-bereft can complain that they huvnae been warned.
You know,a bit like the WARNING-HOT WATER signs over the red tap in the toilets.
Probably don’t have them in a sensible country like Germany, but we do over here…..
Get a third, sticky Bangura, Paddy and Izzy on :)
Hope for a couple of sneaky Motherwell goals ;)
Scrappy opening to the second half.
Rock On Stokes… Special talent to score that one!
I think he has ‘screwed the nut’ and matured he could be a legend if he dedicates his heid to Celtic and not just his heart…
The next goal is crucial. Let’s make sure its us who get it
No slacking Celtic
Close up of young Emanuel there.
Dunfermline are a lower division side.
I hope Yorkston is present today.
