Mark Warburton fired his opening salvo against Newco with a joint statement with Davie Weir and Frank McParland issued through the League Managers’ Association today:
“We would like to formally place on record, that at no stage did we resign from our positions at Rangers.
“It is a matter of surprise to us, and to the League Managers Association, which is advising all three of us, that despite its detailed public statements, the club has not answered key questions put to it by the LMA, in writing, requesting an explanation of why it suggested that we resigned from our positions.”
I’m cringing with embarrassment on behalf of the guys at Newco who have to sign up to this guff, Stewart Robertson in particular, who has titular hands on the wheel but must feel like a hostage to fortune. This is not how he ran things at Motherwell.
More lawyers’ fees, more reputational damage, less chance of a credible future.

That was a rather harsh post, even from you. However, as MWD said, I don’t look for, or need your forgiveness. I disagree with you but respect your right to your opinion; your post indicates you don’t respect mine.

I don’t always agree with what you post but I understand that most of it is heartfelt, so can accept it in good grace. That and the fact that it is often (very) darkly humourous.
Your brother has similar views but wasn’t as acerbic in his postings as you are; you should try it – or get him to Awe Naw your post for you. Just remember we are all Tims at heart and, IMHO, try to support the team the best we can in our own way.

A domestic double, plus that little bauble, the Champions League, at the end of it.
Retained the domestic double in his second season, and , remember Barcelona has at least one seriously powerful rival for that.

The facts are, as much as we love Brendan for the amazing job he has done so far, his work up here will have had very little impact on his reputation further afield. A quick look at the odds for the next Arsenal manager has Brendan at 40/1, the same odds as out of work Alan Pardew. A Telegraph article on the next potential Barca manager names 11 potential candidates with Brendan nowhere to be seen. Until such a time as Brendan makes a big impact in Europe, along the lines of last 16, last 8 and having taken a big scalp along the way, I don’t foresee much interest in him at a level that would interest him. Of course this is great news for us.
