  1. I think Neil will play Laxalt on Wednesday against DU, I also think Ntcham may get a run out or a start. The more viable options for Saturday the better & keeping the slippy one guessing. My team for wednesday……

    Ajer……….Julienne…….Duffy…….. Laxalt

Another 3 points, a clean sheet, another solid performance & a goal or three.

  3. ST TAMS,

Risk with Duffy, buuuut, its what he has always dreamed of.Big threat at set pieces for us,alongside Jullien.Griff and Turnbull supplying the service.I would go with him.Think Lenny might as well.If he does not,wee Jeremy will play.

  4. TURKEYBHOY

No Frimpong for me I’m afraid . Has absolutely no defensive instinct or awareness, like Bitton.

  6. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Tontine Tim from yesterday ….

Thank you for your 1967-68 league campaign recollections.

    Absolutely superb stuff.

Before my time but that season resonates with me mainly from reading Tommy Gemmell’s autobiography – The Big Shot.

It was the first “Celtic” book I read in detail.

Written in 1968 the 1967-68 season (just finished) features prominently.

My favourite part of the book ….

Celtic go on a six match winning streak outscoring the opposition 24-1.

The goal conceded was against St Johnstone at Muirton Park.

    Celtic won 6-1.

Big Jock, to quote Tommy, “was on the warpath” over the goal conceded from a free kick.

Jock pulled the squad in on the Sunday and for two hours solid all they did was practice clearing free kicks.

    Then keep high standards.

    Hail hail

  7. Double happy Monday from a chap with a week off in Louisville where the mercury sits a little above freezing.

4 days that require 6 points.

    4-1-3-2 is it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJjm9rnp7us&feature=youtu.be

    HH!

  8. Absolutely no point in bringing anyone in for a few reasons, won’t be match fit,NL wouldn’t play them, next seasons manager might not rate him,and I wouldn’t let Lawwell spend any more money.

  9. Not a fan of the currently fashionable Fernandes, Iheanacho, Edouard style penalties, with stutter steps and/or a ridiculous hop and skip. They do not generate sufficient power and give the goalkeeper a greater chance of stopping them. Much prefer the Tommy Gemmell, Kristopher Ajer type thunderbolt, as long as it is controlled.

Bang on, agree with all that, pity about the Everton game aff had a few beers in the fridge. Ah well will use them for this Crystal palace game🍸🍸🍸

  11. Chap I work with over here just sent me a message saying he managed to watch our game over the weekend. He was chuckling about plastic and asked if we all play on it.

    Embarrassing.

Thought the keeper was poor there

    ———–

Surely not? He smacked that in from such close range no chance to react.
