I suggest you try a 16-Year-Old Tomintoul straight from the bottle without water or ice. This is my preferred and Go-To beautifully-smooth and Award-Winning Malt Whisky. Try it and you may just change your mind… 😊 👍

31003-I would agree to a point. If we’re needing a lift maybe in a European game then the crowd right behind the team.

*cast your mind back tae a midweek game at home tae kilmasonic, it was a rough tough game and they had almost the whole team yellow carded. We are in the 90th minute and its still 0-0 when the 4th official holds the board up, there are 5 minutes added on. The place erupts and our team are well and truly lifted, a couple of minutes later and big Joos bundles the ball over the line and the 3 points are in the bag.

  4. Shved just scored a late winner for Mechelen, obviously back in the fold there.

A strange situation all round with him.

  5. TT-there are obviously games like that. But before the extra 5mins went up it wasn’t like that.

    I’m not slagging the fans here.Im just saying what it’s like when I’m in the stadium.section 416row T seats 28 and 29.🍀

  6. lets all do the huddle on

i would like to see how many penalty claims for each team are actually awarded

to me that would be an even more meaningful stat than simply how many penalties each team gets

so i would reckon that virtually every penalty claim sevco make gets awarded

and every other team are 50% or less

So in a weekend when a referee gets them over the line, we get these headlines.

Celtic’s penalty was so soft it needed Viagra and Rangers are the real spot-kick victims -…😀

Always the victim even when referees cheat to help them.

RESULTS FROM GAME #30 – HAMILTON 0 CELTIC 3 (EDOUARD (pen), GRIFFITHS, TURNBULL)

I must admit that Hamilton Away is probably my least anticipated game(s) of every season. So all I wanted yesterday was the 3 points. But, like many of us, I was pleasantly surprised and, dare I say it, thoroughly entertained during the 90 minutes. Still goalless at half time but I thought we had played really well, especially given the conditions and that goals would come. And indeed they did, making it a less nervous watch than of late with the result really never in doubt as soon as Edouard put that disrespectful penalty right into the corner.

As I’ve mentioned before it’s always a good sign when every one of our outfield starters get at least 1 vote and that’s what’s happened for yesterday’s game. A Big thank you to the 56 who voted. The votes cast for each player (with my own choices asterisked) are as follows –

    Hazard: 0

    Frimpong: 10

    Ajer: 14

    Bitton: 2

    Taylor: 2

    Soro*: 32

    McGregor: 14

    Christie: 1

    Turnbull: 28

    Griffiths*: 19

    Edouard*: 49

    Ajeti: 0

    Klimala: 0

    Johnston: 0

    Elyounoussi: 0

So, the players receiving points for the Ross County game are –

    Edouard – 5 points

    Soro – 4 points

    Turnbull – 3 points

    Griffiths – 2 points

Ajer and McGregor – 1 point

That’s Eddie won 2 Man Of The Match awards this season – both against Hamilton!

And the overall table is now –

    1st – Laxalt – 49 points

    2nd – McGregor – 46 points

    3rd – Christie – 44 points

    4th – Ajer – 43 points

    5th – Frimpong – 37 points

    6th – Brown – 29 points

    7th – Elyounoussi – 23 points

    8th – Turnbull – 20 points

    9th – Rogic – 19 points

    10th – Edouard – 18 points

    11th – Duffy – 17 points

    12th – Ntcham – 16 points

    13th – Soro – 15 points

    14th – Griffiths – 14 points

    15th – Bitton– 12 points

    16th – Taylor – 11 points

    17th – Barkas – 9 points

    18th – Ajeti – 8 points

    19th – Elhamed – 7 points

    20th – Forrest, Jullien and Klimala – 5 points

    23rd – Bain and Welsh – 4 points

    25th – Hazard – 3 points

26th – Bolingoli, Dembele, Henderson and Johnston – 0 points

We now have another home game on Wednesday afternoon when we entertain Dundee United. Kick off is 3pm.

    Hail Hail!

  9. ………… if any part of my last post refers to ‘Ross County’ please substitute ‘Hamilton’!! d’oh!

  10. Thanks Jobo, well done. Getting tight at the top.

Think Turnbull could move up the table fairly quickly as well.

  12. Good result against Hamilton, especially so as Eddie seemed to be almost back to his best. I think he needs someone like Griffiths along with him and Griffith’s does well when he’s playing in a two up front however it’s tweaked. I’d play the same two against DU in preparation for the game against rangers. The big decisions are in defense and midfield. I’d go with Taylor and Ajer as rangers will try to exploit the wings to get high balls in. I’d go with Jullien and Duffy if he does ok against DU. Frimpong on for the first half at least, Soro, Calmac and Turnbull. Hazard in goal. I’d seriously be up for some substitutions at half time if things not going well. The defense is the main worry and high balls the main threat. Duffy could be a key man. Is he up for it? Let’s see on Wednesday first.

one confidence-building result and another three precious points………

  15. Watching Dundee U on Sportscene ,only highlights, but they looked shocking. All over the place.Motherwell should have taken 5 off them.Ah,well St Mirren my last hope for my prediction,Huns would drop 2 points before our game.In saying that, only the obnoxious Colum ruined that prediction temporarily.

Sniveling ass kisser of a man.

  16. Sevco will look to exploit our set piece weaknesses. I expect plenty of diving from them in deliverable areas.

    I’d play Hazard-Ajer-Bitton-Jullien-Taylor-Soro- CalMac-Christie- Turnbull- Eddie- Griff.

We’ll be narrow in midfield which means we’ll have to hold a high line to counter their full backs exploiting the wide areas. A high line means no Shane Duffy.

If we defend set pieces then I can see us at least getting a point. I think I may be in a minority but I’d see a point as very much game on at this stage of the season.

Set pieces are the big concern as we seen in every match in the Europa group stage.

We’ve nothing to lose and our season pretty much boils down to Saturday’s game so we need to give it everything.

Gerrard is undoubtedly targeting the win to put this league to bed.

  17. GuyFawkesaforeverhero on

Entertaining coverage on BBC5SX from Australian sports show Grandstand, through the nights since St Stephen’s Day, with ball-by-ball coverage of the 2nd cricket Test India v Baggy Greens. Home team are ragged so far, though it was the same in the 1st Test in Adelaide and Australia fought back from the brink to win.

I mention it only to note each of the three days played have had crowds of +23,000 attending, roughly a quarter full MCG.

    Our day will come.

  18. Gollum is money driven, he would have been on less when the huns banned him, and he was doing some Championship games instead of SPFL ,that would have been at the front of his mind, when denying a stonewall penalty.

  19. SKY trolling Celtic with their advert for Saturday’s game having Crocker announcing that Sevco are champions, team talk done, but Wednesday first.

  20. There was a picture a few years back of Collum carrying Hugh Dallas’s bags for him, with him walking a fair few yards behind him, he was a rookie ref at the time and shug fae Bonkle was the head honcho at the SFA, a turncoat of the highest order, the worst, huns are huns and it’s expected of them.

  21. Bhoy From The Boyne on

    Morning all,

I can’t look too far ahead to Jan 2nd until Wed v Dundee Utd is taken care of. But somewhat optimistic and would echo An Dun’s earlier post and need to cut out Sevco set pieces.

However, pretty confident we won’t drop as many points in 2nd half of season and Sevco won’t win as many. Just need to ensure we win Wed and then avoid defeat on Jan 2nd….oh and start Soro/Turnbull in both games!

  22. Can we tell whoever’s playing (in every game, but esp at the weekend!) to stop giving away lazy fouls on the touch line, 30 yards out.

It game them their first in the previous match and has been an Achilles Heel for years.

Christie, in particular, can be guilty of the old lazy swipe in those defensive areas.

    HH jg

  23. Bhoy From The Boyne on

I would drop Christie for a spell, use him as impact sub if needed.

His discipline on the press isn’t great, never know’s when to stop and follows the ball too much causing rest of midfield to get pulled further out of position as they look to close down the space he creates for opposition.

  24. JAMESGANG

I was just about to post this re. Christie giving away stupid free kicks.

The other main culprit is Laxalt.

I also remember under BR we used to leave 3 players up the park when opposition had a corner or dangerous free kick.

This means the penalty area isn’t as congested and easier to defend.

  25. St Tams

Funnily enough, I was thinking about Laxalt, in a slightly different sense.

He’s almost too good a tackler, esp for the game against thems…..in that he doesn’t know that any 50:50 will be given against him!

I’d start with Taylor who’s been solid enough in recent outings.
