    Just seen a photo of a chap from the village who had his grandson up at snake mountain today . Looks like the touchlines are narrowed a good bit

    Can’t change the dimension of the pitch during the season. So if it’s narrow, it has been for all their home games.

     

     

    Note, you CAN have different dimensions for league and Euro games I think.

    One for Tontine, Renton world champions.

     

     

    *this was an annual event between both cup winners, 1888 was the only time the title world champions was used and that was at the behest of WBA who in their arrogance figured they would gub the wee team fae the holy village.

     

     

    Further on in the article it mentions Johnny Campbell winning a later match while with Sunderland, unfortunately he couldnae claim double WC winner as it wasn’t used again.

     

     

    Incidentally, local rivals Vale if Leven 10 years earlier went down south and playing under english rules, whatever that meant, beat Wanderers 3-1 at the Kennsington Oval

    Can I just add that the management of rubbish collect in the North of Glasgow is an absoloute disgrace. Dont know about the rest of the country or councils but Glasgow is feckin DIRE.
