It’s quite telling that Hamilton have to take their captain off not for tactical reasons but to ensure he doesn’t get sent off. I suppose when your tactics rely on chugging that is a tactical change though…

Lol it’s quite telling that my predictive text changed clugging to chugging isn’t it???

    :)

  3. For the record, Celtic have now scored 2 goals from their last 44 shots at goal (and 4 from 82). Hamilton Accies by contrast have scored 2 goals from their last 3 shots at goal, and they scored 3 from 5 shots against Sevco.

I think it’s shocking that men your age even made that observation….

Celtic’s next substitution – a new book for Scott Bain !

Dembele was pretty dreadful, hopefully Eddy’s movement will open up some opportunities

Successfully negotiated a predictive text errror free post. Yas!

  7. If celtic didn’t make so many chances they would have a better scoring average ?

  8. Wish we would play ball forward into space for players to run on to.

To many times we negate our pace by playing to feet of guy facing back to passer.

  9. We’ve a basic lack of creative movement by players ahead of the ball. Nobody is making little darting runs into spaces, pulling defenders with them and thereby creating gaps for others to exploit.

Every Celtic player just seems to stand in their space with a marker tight to them, or they just drift towards the player in possession, accompanied by their marker. So when they do have a pass played towards them all they can do is bounce it back towards where it came from. We need little diagonal darting runs to be happening all across the front line to keep the defenders guessing.

The Barcelona players do it all the time, and they manage to penetrate packed defences as a result. The fact that their players are more skilful with and have more instant control of the ball than ours is irrelevant. You don’t have to be good with the ball to make a little darting run into a space… anyone can do that regardless of their footballing ability!
