Celtic doing just what needs to be done and no more. Effective overall but not entertaining on the day.

On a pitch that is only conducive to dreadful football, against a team who were more interested in kicking opposition players than kicking the ball, i’m pretty please with that result
That will do, 3 points and more importantly no injuries.

Paddy did enough to ensure a place next week.
Moussa didn’t do his chances any good by an indifferent outing.
Hopefully no injuries and Brendan will have freedom with his team choices

A team with a pitch like that should be nowhere near the top division.
A wins a win for all that….go on the Tic.

Two positives from today’s performance which was fairly average.
Goal scoring return from the Griff and an assured display from Boyata with one very good tackle in the first half. Granted we weren’t under any real pressure defensively for large parts of the game. Hope it helps his confidence.

Feel sorry for anyone who bought a ticket to watch that. Little entertainment.
3 points and we are Champions again though.

I don`t know if our players are simply not good enough to create enough openings organised, packed defences or are just not playing up to their top level.
Ever since the demise og the Huns, the MSSM story has been that Scottish Football is rubbish. Defensive performances against us show that that area of the game is most certainly not rubbish.
Looked like both teams agreed to keep the score as it was. Celtic claim 3 points and Hamilton avoid a humiliating scoreline.
That scoreline is in keeping with all performances at that ground. We can learn few lessons from it.

FT 1-2 Shocking surface Good 3 points
*that about sums it up, it wisnae that we were poor, far from it, 76% possession, 16 shots on goal 8 on target against 3 and 1.
Tough playing against a park the bus side even with 11 men, bet you Pep had wished he’d PTB yesterday.
I said last night that I hoped dundee go down with the Jags, changed my mind, hope they still go down but with the accies now and not only because of their hun connection but that scheidty park.

You can talk about 7 in a row, trebles etc., but from an entertainment point of view ? Zero.
E.g. Musonda comes on – a creative player – and plays 5 passes back 10 yards to defenders. And Griffiths could have come off after his goal for all the ball he saw. All it needed was a mistake or a converted set piece and – another draw.
I remember over 5 decades Celtic teams playing exciting, fast flowing, attacking football.
I feel for the fans who travel many miles to see what was in effect a training session.

That may possibly have been the quietest I have ever heard our fans at an away match. They seemed as devoid of inspirationas some of our players.
We got the win but not the best viewing.
The chance we had near the end summed up our performance today.

Another poor performance from the hoops against 10 men with an entertainment level of 2 out of 10.What is going on Brendan ? if you believe you can win the Scottish cup and thus get a second treble playing like this your kidding yourself playing like this we are there for the taking. We are so pedestrian we appear to make as many back passes as we do forward passes did any of our two wide men Sinclair or Roberts hit the byeline and put in a good cross at least once ? as for Demble is he interested ? it was good to see Griffiths taking his chance as we struggle towards league winners. H.H.

What a dreadful surface to expect anyone to play football. Shouldn’t be allowed.
Having said that, 3 points and 1 win away from 7 n a row.
4 biggest positives were 85 minutes from Paddy Roberts; the Griff is back; a good run out for Tierney and a smashing performance from McGregor.
Ajer was suspect on a couple of occasions and one cost a goal;. Will he get the same criticism as Boyata? I think not.

Moussa was poor today but he is a proven hunskelper so i would expect him to play.
In defense of strikers how many times do we play a ball for them to attack in box?
The SS cross for Griff’s goal was the only time we did it today.
We are very good at running the ball side to side across the 25 yd line before passing backwards to start again.

I tend to give Ajer the benefit of the doubt due to is age. Agree he was poor, but will learn from today.
It used to be I wouldn’t like coming on the blog after a loss or a draw. Now I feel like that after a win. We got the 3 points we needed. I’m sure despite assurances otherwise that the Bhoys had an eye on next week’s game. We didn’t get out of 2nd gear because we didn’t need to. Keep your eyes on the prize.
I remember watching the late, great Tommy Burns’ team playing silky football but mostly to no avail.

Musonda clearly paying attention in training.
Since he has come on he has had 6 backwards passes and shot wide with good chance.
Full time 1-2 3 points to 7 in a row
Only one win away from 7 in a row.
Another lacklustre game.
Been far too many, without any apparent reason, for me this season
