    Can I take it for granted that Stevie G’s Glaswegian agent is an orc ? At what point does common sense, or financial due diligence become relevant when dealing with the career prospects of your client ? Or is it a case that SG is just desperate to be back at the sharp end or in the limelight again, no matter how the odds are stacked against him . Hardly the actions of a street wise scouser.

    THE EXILED TIM, PARKHEADCUMSALFORD, luv ya to bits bhoys, but scotland is a hive of presbyterian hunnery, my wife is an anglican, go into any anglican church, and then go into the church of scotland day and night springs to mind, when you go into the church of scotland its like ian paisleys style of church no popery, and the wafer as he used to call it the holy eucharist evil personafied, glad he is dead, but the bowler hats keep on coming, when will it all end, dont know but sad really in2018 it still haunts us hh.

    First off hope you’re well. If I were in your shoes,,tomorrow print a decent size pic of Kt and send it to Lennoxtown addressed to Kt with an SAE inside also. A wee letter asking him to sign dedicated to ? for her 15th bday. It will come back I believe. At least then you have a really good gift.

     

    As for actually going an getting,,I’m not sure but there’s a poster called ” A View Fae The Windae ” or words to those effect that lives facing the training pitch I believe and could possibly guide you in what’s the best route and time if you wish to try and venture to the training ground and give it a shot

    Education, it’s what it’s all about, fortunatly the majority of Catholics have decided to educate themselfs, it will take time to get parity but it will happen one day, we will be long gone, as for the likes of the rev, they are dying out thankfully, not nearly fast enough mind you but they are, dinny fret about it, they are not worth it at the end of the day.

    I couldn’t be more with you against bigots.

     

     

    You should however know that, unlike me, my entire family attend the CoS and don’t have a bigoted bone in their bodies. In fact my parents’ disgust at the deid club’s signing policies helped move me along the road to Timdom as a child.

     

     

    You should also know that in my own upbringing the % of people attending the CoS holding bigoted views whom I met was far lower than the general population.

     

     

    The CoS historical position of 80 years ago ref my Catholic brothers and sisters was utterly shameful. It’s more recent positions have been v much more ecumenical.

     

     

    So my point and question is, what’s your evidence base before you damn an entire group of church goers?

    Struan Marshall is Steve Gerrards agent and is also Garry McAllisters. I don’t know if he is a Hun but he must be, as any outsider would have advised Gerrard not to get involved in this set up.

     

     

    There is no logic involved in the Gerrard situation. There must be something else. It just doesn’t make sense.

    TeT, a quick glance,at the grammar on display versus their sites plus the careers of the bloggers on here show we’ve never been as educated or as affluent.

     

    I can’t agree that more education is the key.

     

    Sticking the ball in the net and beating them on the park is doing eff all except getting us kicked more I read.

     

    It’s a changing of mindset if you ask me.

    Thanks for the info bhoys it’s awkward to get to Lennoxtown due to her schooling and my work. But other ideas and tips will be explored.

     

     

    She’s a fantastic kid and she would be beside herself to meet him for a photo.

     

     

    She is still the only kid I’ve ever known who has refused money for sweeties from the ice cream van.

    We will have to agree to disagree on the education then, we are where are today because of education, I am not a Catholic btw, I was brought up in the NE where religion was in the main meaningless, all most folks were bothered about was feeding their weans, Catholics are still struggling today to get what they deserve, they are educating themselfs yet the what school did you go to mindset prevails, but it will get there.

     

    To change the mindset will take generations, the quickest way is education.

    I did read back. And with respect that is what you said. You may not have meant to wrap them all up under Ian Paisley’s bigoted bowler hat, but no distinction is apparent to me.

     

     

    My dad is an intellectual with a human touch and (so) detested Ian Paisley and all he stood for. My mum adored the Lions and Jinky most of all. Please be careful with your choice of words. In this instance I would suggest they were too sweeping and don’t sit well with a club open to all.

     

     

    Not looking to argue. But having spent a lifetime challenging prejudice directed towards my Catholic brothers and sisters, I feel I’ve earned the right to call you out on this one.

     

     

    Happy for the matter to rest now and no offence taken, and I hope, given.

    Agreed, TBB @ 10.27, his blog article (as usual) is excellent. Do the sums! Always great advice. And when you see them laid out and Professionally analysed, it brings it all into total focus – hat doffed!!

     

     

    Interestingly (prescient or not;) that TBB gave an overview of the pros and CONS of any Sevco share issue!?

    It has always struck me that the use of SFA Article 14 to transfer the SFA Rangers Membership to a new entity was an abuse.

     

     

    Of course the way the clause they utilised was worded gives them carte blanche (deliberately!?) but yet I still thought that it could be challenged.

     

     

    Of course after Sports Direct challenged the SFA (on other issues) and the Judge, though partially going with Big Mike, basically said it’s their (SFA) rules to interpret as they please, I thought, maybe the cautious were right.

     

     

    However you raise a good point. Is the way the SFA interpret the Article in line with UEFA rules??

     

     

    Now I remember, in the aftermath, Mr Doncaster stating that such a thing happened in England (possibly refering historically in Bristol!?) But he was being disingenuous.

     

     

    When I first came across Article 14 I wrote an e-mail to Stewart Regan about it, before it was sent, I checked the F.A. equivalent Article of Association. In England the rule was water-tight NO WAY could the F.A. transfer membership of ANY Club, the way the SFA transferred Rangers Membership to Sevco Scotland.

     

     

    So if the SFA Articles and the way they were (un)enforced does not comply with UEFA requirements this could be huge. It may allow grounds for a judical review.

     

     

    Also great points on our auld friend the LNS Commision…

     

     

    …We should Never loose sight of the fact that the SFA have Never investigated, reviewed or upheld the issues raised in the SPL Commision, they are totally free and actually obliged under the circumstances, to hold an inquiry.

    Agree on both counts. Only thing I can think of re:today’s presser is that King was asked to make a public commitment re: Sevco funding for next season. Not that his word actually counts for anything mind you…
