    Just read an article,on Celticnewsnow, by Roddy Forsyth in the Telegraph, which says that it will be £16m King will raise. Either £6m on a share issue and £10m in loans OR, says Glibby, £8m and £8m. He hasn’t decided yet.

     

     

    The article also says that their accounts said they would borrow a further £7.2m in soft loans (over the next 2 years) taking their debt to £23m.

     

     

    Something just doesn’t add up.

     

     

    I was about to say ‘doesn’t square’ but that would probably explain how he’ll get away with it.

    TeT, but we’ve never been as educated ? Are you saying more ? Cant see what difference more education would make.

     

    The bloggers around you are worldwide and very educated.

     

    Some maybe many are doing well. All the bloggers that mention their kids, a lot has to do with their education or their new job/university.

     

    We are very educated,,we are. But it’s getting us nowhere just as putting the ball in the back of the bet is after all I’m still a fenian b@÷%_÷€d there even though I’m educated to the hilt. Smarter than any of those idiots and could talk them in circles, so could most on here if not all I think.

     

    They aren’t very bright that’s for sure. If they were it would be way more subtle . Certainly how I would play it.

     

    Mindsets take too long to change,,the earliest Celtic had to move rather than give in to extortionate rates for the fenians,,then Kelly would have closed the football branch rather than give in to no tricolor,,then the fans stand up in Celts for change,,then fergus fought Farry all the way and won. And then a fight falls to this generation and board and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,No, that mindset has always been there as I show,,what’s different now?

     

    I know I’m preaching to the choir. It’s just I don’t like what I see and would play things a whole lot different were I certain people.

    For those who travel West along Dalmarnock Road on the way to Celtic Park, the roadworks at Dalmarnock Bridge are still in place unfortunately.

     

     

    Another tough match for us this Wednesday . Will any of the Killie players behave like the Hearts players last Sunday? Let’s hope not.

     

     

    For next Sunday’s game , I have a feeling wee Logan and McLean of Aberdeen will try and join the collection of opposition payers having a go at Broonie with the expected inaction of the match officials.

    RANGERS chairman Dave King last night compared Celtic’s domestic dominance to “a pack of cards” and predicted just a single Scottish title win could tip the balance of power in favour of the Ibrox club.

     

     

    The South Africa-based businessman revealed that Rangers hope to raise £6 million from a share issue “by the end of June”.

     

     

    He confirmed that Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool and England great who was appointed manager on Friday, will be money to spend in the transfer market.

     

     

    And he predicted that taking the income from the Champions League group stages – something which is worth in excess of £30 million – away from Celtic would enable Rangers to compete with them.

     

     

    Asked how Rangers could challenge Celtic again, King said: “We appoint a manager who can win games, with more resources, and we take one league away from Celtic.

     

     

    “We only need one league. We don’t need two or three. We need one. Once we take one away, it’s a pack of cards.

     

     

    “With all Celtic’s resources they are not a million points away from Aberdeenor Hibs. They (Aberdeen and Hibs) have resources that are far less than what we have at the moment. We are bringing in a manager we think can tip the balance in our favour.

     

     

    “Celtic’s costs structure is more like we were 10 years ago. We needed Champions League football and if we went into the Europa League we were in trouble because the cost structure was so high.

     

     

    “Take that away for one season and it will change the numbers in the Celtic side very, very quickly. They have the comfort levels we once had of knowing we were going to get Champions League money.

     

     

    “We have to take that away from them and hopefully we have started that process on Friday.”

     

     

    King added: “Do Celtic’s resources put them beyond you forever? The answer is clearly no. We have seen the cycle. I was with Rangers when we thought Celtic would never catch up, never in a hundred years.

     

     

    “Dick Advocaat said they would never, ever catch up. I think it lasted 11 minutes into the next game we played against them when we went 3-0 down. They caught up and then went past us because Martin O’Neill came in and figured out a different way to do it.

     

     

    “You need the right management structure to do it. At the moment we’ve gone more top heavy on management because we have invested in the squad and struggled with stability in the manager’s office. We’ve gone the other way. We have now gone very, very strong in the management squad.

     

     

    “It depends on if they decide to invest or how well they invest. Celtic might be over-resourced, but you can still only play 11 players. They have a big squad earning a lot of wages, but these wages are not all getting on the pitch. There are opportunities there.

     

     

    “If it’s hard then it’s harder for both of us. We don’t have to guarantee it, we have to narrow the gap against Celtic. So if Celtic are not getting it then that’s fine in that sense. It’s bad for Scottish football, but it doesn’t create a gap between us.”

    DK: Not in the foreseeable future. Because we are not going to run it to make a profit in the foreseeable future. I would expect us only to start making a profit when we are back playing Champions League. Until that point, I think we are going to have to continue funding the deficit every single year.

     

     

    So, in breach of financial fair play rules, in deliberate breach of ffp, no intention of conforming, and a complete disregard for the spirit of ffp

     

     

    Not sure he’s making the best pitch for outside investment either there
