The midfield had a stranglehold on the game, with any two, at any time, having the freedom to get into the box, secure in the knowledge that their two mates had the midfield secure.

I hope that we continue in this vein.
If we can’t attract top quality strikers, then it seems the sensible approach would be to get your midfield men into scoring positions
Well well. Am I mistaken or did we begin today to see the signs of a pass and move midfielder in Nir Biton. In fact they all seemed for a long time to forget how to do the slow sideways crawl. Can’t last surely?

That’s the second time recently I have had the privilege of listening to Mark McGhee about Celtic. Summed up perfectly both imes what I thought of our performance. Good to hear somebody on BBC Scotland telling it like it is.
Just on bus back and can’t remember the last time I watched a Celtic team perform football like that for such long periods of a game.

Brilliant Celtic, composed aggression, played in their half moved off the ball plenty efforts at goal good movement all over the park, took our chances and LACED them.

Ref in Chelsea v Southampton game allows Ramirez away with a foul from behind. Thought he was going to book Big Vic for same foul. Doesn’t. The HG makes good save from the free kick and then Chelsea scramble in the equaliser.

nothing flawed about us today. It felt like I’d got my Celtic back!
I wonder what would have happened on Tuesday if we had played that line up and formation and with that freedom, pace and confidence. I know you can’t compare Milan with Hearts, but it makes you wonder.
Pukki – looked like a player with a wee confidence crisis. That game didn’t help him.
