Difficult to say what the problem is (creative midfielder aside) but we seem to lack the ability to run centre-backs ragged or get in behind fullbacks.

Really? I though we got behind the fullbacks and to the bye line many times, but the resultant cross/cut back was wayward.

You may well be right, but surely keep the best partnership until when/if Wilson is suspended?
I only caught the 2nd half today so I cannot evaluate the whole performance. What I saw was fairly relentless Celtic attacking against an energetic and packed Hibs defence. I thought we deserved to win but didn’t. I thought Neil’s tactics were fine and I thought Paddy McCourt played well when he came on.
I can cope with the odd defeat. I am not going to credit any of the missing players today as having been obviously better choices than those made by NFL. We lost. It happened. We were unlucky but we could have played better.
I no longer expect to hear much in the way of intelligent analysis of the reasons for our defeat from the usual moaners, which is a pity. But all we will get is complacency, favourites, bizarre selections and subs, no plan B, and the rest of the litany of cliched complaints made by every dissatisfied fan of every team when results do not fulfill their demands.
You’d think that some people only enjoy complaining.
6 points clear with a game in hand over the rest. Still in every cup competition.
Please give me more of this so-called failure and disgrace.

Not 100% sure if a play-maker would make a difference. Such a player needs movement in front of him, do we have that ?
Our efforts at getting forward are too slow and ponderous to create gaps. As a result Celtic attacks are “in front” of 9 defenders all champing at the bit to tackle.
The lack of desire, passion to get back into a game is a separate issue and a new phenomenon for me. Most of us will have watched Celtic teams kick, bite and scratch to the 90th minute. That factor is missing right now.
Listning to shortbread, first time for a long, long time.
They really have it in for us, going by what they are saying, you would think it was world war 3 at Dens the other night.

Another rubbish performance and result. NL sometimes displays an unwarranted arrogance and then gets his commupance. Very poor team, poor tactics and when you bring Paddy McCourt on you know you are desperate.

We need to shoot more from edge of box AND we need shooting practice. Kayal should have scored and big Vic was unlucky with his left foot drive
One or two of the team need a break ; so let’s beat Motherwell and recharge the batteries before we tackle the 2nd half of the season
On tactics 3 5 2 is not so effective when the opposition play with one up ; we are better playing 4 4 2 with both full backs overlapping to provide extra width. 2 fast players like Wilson and Ambrose can easily deal with one forward player.
Enjoyed being at Easter Road today and was surprise by the size of the hibs support, biggest I have seen in a long time

Apologies – my thoughts were ‘in general’ not particularly on today’s performance. Our reliance on scoring from set-plays and yes – wayward use of the ball when we do get behind fullbacks – the lack of precision crossing/ clinical finishing!
IMO our ratio of possession .v. goals scored needs improving – aside from signing a player capable of unlocking defences/ producing the unusual – I’m not sure what the answer is.
I doubt it’s escaped Lenny’s notice and hopefully he’s working on resolving it. :-)

I think Neil needs to give Rogne a few games to prepare for the eventuality of Wilson getting a suspension.
I would have dropped Sammi after the first half, it was clearly not his day and he was marked by two and sometimes three hibees, no room to run.
I hope for his sake Paddy moves in January, hw deserves
