  1. Ignore any excuses and criticism of any individual players

From the start set up of team was all wrong and no width

To leave natural midfielders on the bench and put defenders into midfield slots is a recipe for disataer and to bring on your only natural winger with 2 minutes to go is utter crap

  2. You can always tell when Celtic have a poor result.

Our manager is referred to as “Lennon” and Neg Anon posts.

We should always LEARN more from a loss than a win… Bhoys occasionally look like they ve been up all night playing x box or whatever …ie their minds just never engage.. That said teams love playing us and raise their game, we should be wise to that.

Credit and fair play Pat Fenlon.

For us ,it’s onwards and upwards to the quadruple!!!

PS Paul Lambert… Keep going .. One of us and I hate to see him stressed.. Remembering Phil O Donnell too.. I recall his hoops debut well..

GG. I agree Hooper and Lassad didnt play well today but by the same token there were not all that many chances created for them to get on the end of.H.H.

On today’s performance we will need our lady and her bhoy to turn up if we have to have any chance of beating any old ladies

  6. Difficult to say what the problem is (creative midfielder aside) but we seem to lack the ability to run centre-backs ragged or get in behind fullbacks.

We score from set-pieces – always look likely to score from a breakaway but rarely seem to be able to pick our way through a crowded box despite the majority of possession.

Shuttling the ball backwards and sideways from around the opponents 18 yard-line just allows defences time to organise – nobody gets dragged out of position.

We definitely need a Lubo the locksmith type and/ or a two-footed clinical poacher!

    Re-think for Wednesday’s line-up methinks.

Another rubbish performance and result. NL sometimes displays an unwarranted arrogance and then gets his commupance. Very poor team, poor tactics and when you bring Paddy McCourt on you know you are desperate.

    Pathetic.

Disgraceful performance…not the first, why on earth does Lennon keep picking players who have let the club down. We have injuries a good lead so why not show some faith in the young talent we have at the club. Young guns are bursting for a chance, yet today again we see McGeough gets 3 mins while others get the nod and fail us again.

Flat, listless, lazy…no way would our younger players have allowed themselves to be 2nd or 3rd to the loose balls as we were today.

Cut them loose Lennon….they can put real fire in the belly, show the desire needed to wear a Celtic shirt. Too many posers on the park again.

    This time till tomorrow.

  12. So we lost today.

A small stumble on our way to the CL qualification next season.

BBC stats say we had 14 shots on goal 7 on target.

Not great but not poor either.

Sure we can struggle when the opposition rumble us up and they are allowed to foul to break up out momentum and fluidity.

Neil has shown a capacity to try out different formations and line ups.

Sometimes it doesn’t come off. So he will try something different midweek.

In the complete scheme of things today will not matter a jot……..

Unless we don’t learn from it and steady the ship on Wednesday.

  13. I hope Lambert is given a chance to turn around Villa and sign some players in the transfer window, things looking very bleak though. I think the ole Villa job is a poisoned Chalice.

    Good luck to you Paul

“on another day we would have won comfortably”

“From 20mins in we were in control, really good approach play”

  15. OK.

    We were beaten.

We were beaten because we did not do enough to win.

So we did not try hard enough ?

    Bollox !!

We did everything we could on the day .

It was simply not OUR day.

    That happens.

    Great win for Hibs.

Great times to be a lover of Celtic.

Have not been in such a good place since the late SIXTIES.

WE are in Heaven,… unless we are foolish people who don’t deserve what our great club is giving us.

  20. Professor Green on

I will not go over the top criticising the performance, thats the domain of other posters.

However I have no idea why Neil changes the centre half pairing of Ambrose and Wilson for apparently no good reason. Its a position on the park that should not be tinkered with, especially when it is functioning well.

Ambrose played as a right back at Dens park and into midfield today. The Ambrose, Wilson partnership has been fantastic in europe this season, why change?

It was a lack of understanding through Rogne that caused the goal. If it aint broke……

  21. Looks like we are rubbish again and everyone should be sacked. That good wee run must have been a fluke.

Hopefully we can get the Motherwell game out of the way with a win and then get some players fit during the break. I doubt we have had a full strength first team available at the same time all season.
