Inner Record culture disrobed, signing up to the Celtic rulebook

891

In many places it would be practically inconceivable that someone could be employed in this position:

capture-20170119-220102
And get away with running rubbish like this on a back page cover:

capture-20170119-220127
But then you see more and get a picture of the organisation involved:

The Record have been caught displaying their inner culture and will no doubt be forced into a remedial action, but getting caught was just misfortune. The culture exists and has informed articles for years.  They have gone too far down this road to even begin to understand what they’ve done to a once-strong demographic.

An echo reached me from 2012 today, which illuminated yesterday’s article. As the SPL debated serious issues in 2012, a consensus emerged on what subsequently took place. There were hold-outs to the new majority, however.

One director of a club near Glasgow (no guesses, now) made his position clear: “I’m not signing up to any f****** Celtic rulebook.”

The comment met with incredulity, as the Celtic rulebook wasn’t part of the conversation. Fans and clubs across the country came to the same conclusion about how our game should proceed.  It was no more the Celtic rulebook than the Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs rulebook, but prejudices occasionally seep out when people don’t get what they want.

This is what we’re up against. They are still out there, writing articles for the paying public, or voting on the future of our game.

As for the Celtic rulebook, I’ve seen it. It contains one page and only three words: “Pay your bills.” That doesn’t sound like much but remarkably, it may deliver 20-in-a-row. I hope others don’t start to copy us.

Now the work is for us to win through the open gates of Heaven, which had been closed.

    Faith is not enough.

We must follow his commandments, confess our sins when we fall, and keep picking ourselves up again.

How are things with you and yours? Heading out for a hill run in an hour ( too dark at the minute) but it’s a thought I can tell you. Fffrrreeezing in Shropshire this morning. Still, could be worse. I could be running in the glorious Oz sunshine sweating my proverbials off.

Brendan has the team playing to his tune. Supporters on board to a man. Well ok perhaps there are a few who’ll never be happy but almost to a man.

So the playing side is sorted out.

Just the high heid yins who need to look in the mirror now and question themselves.

It’s written in the stars that 2017 is going to be a phenomenal year . 50 years on . We will play Inter in the EL final .

  16. OwnGoal Nigeria

Scottish side Celtic are currently leading the race to sign KAS Eupen hot in demand Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru who has taken the Belgian league by storm this season.

Onyekuru has 10 goals from 21 appearances in the first half of the League in Belgium, a tally which has made top teams like RB Leipzig, CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce and Anderlecht register their interest in his services.

However a move to Celtic appears more likely for the 19 year old, although he could face the difficult hurdle of securing a work permit as he is yet to be capped by Nigeria at any level.

The Aspire Academy product is reportedly interest in moving to Celtic despite repeatedly voicing out his preference to move to English side Arsenal.

Known for his explosive speed and goal scoring abilities, he is heavily tipped to win the Ebony Shoe Award in Belgium, which is usually given out to the best player of African descent in Belgium.
