BRENDAN RODGERS suffered his first domestic Cup defeat as Celtic manager at the 25th hurdle against Kilmarnock in the Viaplay Cup at Rugby Park in August.
An off-colour Hoops side, with new Bhoys Maik Nawrocki, Gustaf Lagerbielke, Odin Holm and Yang Hyun-jun making early appearances after their summer arrivals, just never got started against the home side.
However, there was a measure of revenge for the champions in October in the league when they won 3-1 at Parkhead.
Now they are looking for back-to-back league victories in Ayrshire in today’s High Noon shoot-out.
