It’s very early doors to be judging BR’s team selection. He barely knows the players. Let’s see how things develop over the coming months. There will be highs and lows but I believe we will improve and BR will make us better and stronger. Keep the faith!
For goodness sake, we ain’t even 1 minute into Brendan Rodgers’ tenure & I can already sense a Sack the Brodge Campaign in the air.
Clearly Efe Ambrose is outstanding on the training ground & rarely falters under Pressure. Maybe it is not until he lines out in serious games that he begins to show signs of weakness which Rodgers is yet to witness first hand or, maybe (& I hope this to be correct) Efe is a born again centre back, ready & raring to show us all what we’ve been missing since that fateful night in Turin.

Great to have the Live Updates thread back. I’m buzzing here looking forward to game.
I think we will have to wait & see how they are set up before being too critical of selection.
Catman made an excellent earlier post suggesting a midfield Diamond with the full backs providing the width.
I could live with that. I presume the opposition will play with 10 Imps behind the ball & try & grab one on the break or from a set piece.
The minimum that is acceptable is any kind of win but to maintain the goodwill buzz we need to win with a little bit of style. I’ll avoid the banana skin cliches and say a 3 goal win will do for me.
P.S, Sorry to hear of your accident JFH, I know you told your story with humour, fair dues to you but it was a horrid thing to happen & I wish you a full & speedy recovery.
