Title stripping would be bonus. What we need is unequivocal statements fro SFA and SPFL that the new club at Ibrox are just that. Created 5 years ago with a total history of only 5 years and all that implies for their claim to the dead club’s history.

Expecting a moralistic or integrity based position from the chairman of a betting company is a bit far fetched.
So is a deadline of no later than the Celtic AGM for proper action in addressing cheating reasonable? That’s the timeframe I’ve set for my interest in Scottish football. I think that’s very reasonable, I mean we’ve only been waiting for 5 years.

The Myth of Continuity
Alan Dewar QC, representing Charles Green at the Inner House of the Court of Session, has stated that ” The Rangers football club does not exist, it is an idea in people’s minds, a myth of continuity. No-one knows what the Rangers football club is, but it has no legal personality.”
Mr Dewar adds that ” you can only be the chairman of an entity that has a legal personality. Sevco Scotland, and it alone, bought the assets and carried on the business. The concept of the Rangers Institution continuing exists only in the minds of die hard supporters.”
Inner House of the Court of Session, not a commission guided by deliberately provided incomplete information, with no status in law.
Stuart Armstrong’s a classy player but I do hope he’s not going to try and run down his contract.
Two barren seasons till BR finally extracted some of his potential, and playing for Celtic should be his aim, with nothing in the background that could affect his newly found form.
Agents can be a curse on Celtic and every other club and BR might use the other players in his squad as a bargaining tool for the fully committed to ten.
That said I fully expect SA to resign for Celtic by August.
“Hayes is naturally less talented but he’s used to being a match winner and therefore is defaulted to going for it.”
What is his win percentage compared with James’s?
What was the score in the time James was playing as compared to the time Johnny replaced him?
Who had the most assists last night?
I really struggle with the negativity towards James- no sooner does he overcome his “sick-note” reputation, than he gets landed with “coward”, “brainless”, “no end product”. We will end up hounding good players out of Celtic Park while lauding the unproven and over-hyped (I am not referring to Hayes here, who is a fine player and a good understudy for James, Sinky and Kieran, but the likes of Scott Allan, Liam Henderson, GMS and , to date, Ryan Christie enjoy a better rep amongs a significant section of our scapegoating support than the guys who nailed down a first team or squad place, like James, Callum and erik.
Incidentally, when you were touting Aberdeen players as better than what we had, you did not have Hayes on your list ( I know because I said he was the only one I would take from them) as you were championing journeymen like Logan, Jack, Shinnie, Niall McGinn and Joe Lewis, all of them, at least 33% weaker than their Celtic counterparts.

Seems to me that Topping is repeating an Armageddon-type statement similar to the one issued by Regan five years ago.
They have had meetings to discuss the potential outcome of stripping titles and decided that its effect on Scottish football will be unacceptable.
Having come to this decision, they have then sought out legal advice to justify doing it.
Regan was overruled and ultimately proven wrong, so with representation and a strong legal case put together by the other clubs in Scotland, Topping can be ‘topped’ also.
However I believe that there is indeed no appetite for a searching enquiry among other clubs, apart from Celtic.
If this is the case, the controversey will be dismissed, just as the Resolution12 was by Reagan as a “west of Scotland thing”.
The Rangers brand is shot – all it and its tens of thousands of fans have to sustain them is the five little stars on their jerseys – the five little stars that say (to them) that they are still the most successful club in Scottish/World football – they will move heaven and earth to ensure that they are not stripped of this boast.

Look back I’ve been a strong advocate of Hayes. My only reservation being he is perhaps coming at a later stage than his peak years.
What I was alluding to reference ‘match winner’s was that Hayes has carried a greater onus of responsibility within AFC to be a game changer than Forrest has to date for Celtic. Doubtless Forrest has been a match winner and imo should consider more regularly given his inate ability. For AFC if Hayes didn’t turn it on there were really only a couple of team mates who could. Forrest is surrounded by match winners.
My key point is that Forrest is better than his contribution suggests. Could be decision making but I think it’s mindset. Belief perhaps. Whatever it is he needs to overcome it as I think he could help us forget Paddy Roberts if he gets it together…and if doesn’t I think the lesser talented Hayes will step ahead of him.

Title stripping is a misnomer, the titles would be void as a consequence of their now proven cheating.
LNS is void now as a result of the information we now have.
If you limit the scope of the justice we seek to a statement that says they are a new club I think you’re selling that justice very cheaply..
Ogilvie, Bryson, Regan, Doncaster, Johnson, King Murray and Murray would all get off scot free with such a statement..
Ron Bacardi
Agreed. Sevco don’t owe over 70 million to HMRC, nor almost the same amount again to another 275 creditors.
So they’re not Rangers.

No need to book, Pay at the stern.
I think the Vulture got it right when he said to his mates:
“Patience my ass, I’m gonna kill something!”
Listening to Topping, I have a picture of Withnail saying “We want the finest solicitor available to humanity, we want him here, and we want him now.”
Incidentally, who is the finest solicitor in Scotland (was there a vote? a swimsuit round?) and why can’t he come from Arbroath (or Cowdenbeath)?
Bada LG s yellow card is a cert to be rescinded. Unbelievable decision. Hh
Odd how SMSM saw the missiles at Linfield but didn’t in the 5-1 game?

G64- i don’t think yellow cards can be appealed?
Total mince from the Scotsman.
Dead man walking finally says something after years of silence, via a dying (dead) newspaper.
No come back for Topping – he is out of it in a fortnight.
Unfortunately, and with all due respect, some here have fallen for it and reacted. Mission accomplished.
Just a reminder – those people who BUY the herald, Scotsman or Evening times would ALL fit into Celtic Park with room to spare.
The report today has no more validity than the opinions of two drunks debating in the pub.
Read Celtic’s statement again. We are not showing our hand because we don’t need to.
The other side is desperate.
This one is going all the way.
