So after 15 years and 121 years respectively, the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League will be wound-up due to the creation of the Scottish Professional Football League. Small objection, I know, but I don’t like the name. It’s cumbersome and, in the case of one member club (Queens) downright inaccurate. They stuck a word in to differentiate the new entity from the historical one, but why ‘Professional’?
I assume the last champions of the Scottish Premier League will retain the trophy, just as Northern Ireland did with the Home International Championship trophy? Or will the brown brogue brigade insist that doesn’t happen? I’m sure St Mirren will be making plans for the now-defunct Scottish Football League, League Cup, or at least they will when someone realises the awarding body is about to cease.
The new financial compensation structure will make a significant difference to half a dozen or so clubs in the second tier of the game but that’s about it. There is no magic wand for Scottish football short of federation with a neighbouring association.
The biggest laugh of the day came from the news that outgoing SFL chief exec, David Longmuir, the man who did more than anyone to prevent the new SPFL getting to this stage, has put himself forward for the new chief executive position.
The word ‘shameless’ seems somewhat inadequate. Make sure the brogues are clean for interview next week, David.
How will that one go? ‘I know, I got it completely wrong. I did my best to stop all of this from coming to fruition, what a laugh. Best thing I can say is, I’m not Neil Doncaster, so how’s about it?’
Better get that CV types, David. Or is my prediction that you were working your way to a position with a lower league club coming to fruition?

Sevco celebrating their history of war heros.
This made me laugh
“An additional ‘honour’ was reported on the 1st of November 1942, when it was announced that ‘Rangers’ had won the Championship of a Prisoner-of-War Camp in Germany. Fourteen teams had competed, all with names of English and Scottish First Division Clubs. Preston North End were second!”
They will be claiming that as the first Euro trophy.
“The success of Rangers throughout World War Two has led to misinformed accusations that the club, in particular Bill Struth, deliberately placed players in reserved occupations in order that they might avoid active service. Accusations that have no basis in fact and a study of Rangers players who saw active service during World War Two is enough to dispel such a myth.”

No problemo! You’d managed to get through all the Italian Crackers I remembered – so I thought I would throw a hot-one in.
Certainly wouldn’t throw her out!

Georgie boy, is right,
A Christian Bishop beheaded by Syrian “rebels” while children look on. ENOUGH ENOUGH ENOUGH! Hague? ENOUGH!
Tell your MP now! No more taxpayers money for beheading of Bishops for the slaughter of religious minorities in Syria. No Al Qaeda. No FSA

Was aff oot.
No the 3 year exile from Europe for not been a member of a national association still applies.
The Rangers were alway full members of the SFA and the exile applies to members of the SFA.
The Rangers were Associate Members of the SFL and the new organisation the SPFL have decide to drop the associate member status for all clubs.
Whilst that gives Rangers a say in SPFL matters it gives the same rights to any new club joining and presumably was seen as desireable on a broader front.
If say Spartans? joined the bottom tier of SPFL as full members with voting rights I doubt anyone would notice.

Totally agree. My take on the Celtic silence during the demise of Rangers is that it was probably correct not to be drawn in at that time.
But when the LNS decision was announced and the conclusion of “no sporting advantage gained”, this was the time for Celtic to come out with all guns blazing in my opinion.
Had Celtic come out and publicly criticised that conclusion and challenged it’s rational and queried Bryson’s role in the decision making the debate would then have to have gone public. In my opinion it would also have been an opportunity to unite the rest of Scottish football fans to mobilise to ask questions about the truth. Also at the same time this nonsense about Rangers continued history could have been challenged in the public domain.
Have we missed an opportunity? In my opinion yes. At some point the Club must confront the ridiculous claim that approximately £48m spent on “loans” did not result in a sporting advantage. Even a five year old would not come to that conclusion logically.
Obsessed me? Yes, but not with Rangers, The Rangers, RIFC, I am obsessed with fair play, following the rules. If my team gets beat fairly and squarely on a level playing field I have no problem. When rules are broken, made up as you go along, with little regard for corporate governance by a certain club and also the ruling body it has to be challenged at some point, and it has to be challenged by Celtic publicly
Otherwise they are just as complicit and makes a mockery of us fans faithfully going to watch our team through those hard times. Glasgow Celtic when are you going to speak on behalf of me and my fellow fans on this scandal.

Someday, if I get enough to drink, I will provide details of a series of dinners, lunches and meetings I had with Sofia Loren in Roma. Ah, sweet memories. And my television appearances with Milly Carlucci. My, oh, my. Wonderful, wonderful times in Italy.

Milly Carlucci ?
Was she a presenter on In Domenica c98? Blonde? Seemed an awfy nice woman. ( seriously she did).

Would Longmuirs application for the top job with the peoples popular judean front for scoddish football be the same job he’s rumoured to have lined up with the minor league soccer team- after all the previous tenants of their stadium have had someone in that SFA job for over 20 years

Elsewhere, can somebody edu-ma-kate me as to what the five stars on the jumpers of those plucky new kids on the SFL2 block stand for?
Yes! Glad to oblige!
One star for every wheel on their new coach -including the spare, of course. No expense spared here, no sir!
Walturd is still in shock that his demands for a new coach were misunderstood.
“Follow Follow” has been replaced by “The Wheels On The New Bus Go Round And Round All Day Long As We’re Heading For Arbroath And Stranraer This Season”.

SO!!!!!
Where is OUR new bus then??????
Sack the board!
Milly Carlucci is seriously good looking and a very nice person.

George Galloway tweeting stuff that should be on the news, the wests/masons favourite Muslim militia (they’re no even muslims just Masonic savages) are doing what they do best.

At first I thought you meant steaming…
Good to know he is packing …But you still do not want to pay $25 for five wee chicken nuggets and a warm coke.
Apparently, Charles Green promised in the share prospectus to provide a sevco restaurant with four Michelin stars.
But this was lost in translation somewhat.
What he actually promised was a sevo bus with four michelin tyres.

what sort of a place is it?

I have now completely lost the thread in the Middle East. I generally like to make light of things , would never pretend to have known the minutiae of middle eastern micro politics . I hope I am wrong but this is
potentially apocalyptic stuff.

Been reading back……seems to have been a bus y day…….he he.
….ah well, one day closer to the new season……
Well its either Doncaster or Longmuir for the new job. Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum. Well Tweedle Dum is definitely a Hun so can I take it we are backing Tweedle Dee.
I posted last night that today my sister Morar-ghirl would today donate a kidney to another sister (I’ve got loads of them ) Doncaster-ghirl. The good new is that they are both back on the ward and both doing well. The recipient, Doncaster-ghirl is peeing like a horse apparently.
Thanks again for your good wishes, your prayers and your positive energy.
Hail Hail
See when you get right down to the bottom line……
