Missing Organ Grinder

1063

It took a late goal from Anthony Stokes to secure Celtic’s win at Tannadice in August.  That led to a five match unbeaten run for Dundee United, which ended two weeks ago at Pittodrie before Inverness knocked 10-man United out of the League Cup on Tuesday with a 120th minute goal.

Jackie McNamara has stabilised his team and they are likely to finish in the top three this season, but the defeat on Tuesday, which led to a storm of controversy over the behaviour of Nadir Ciftci, will be a major challenge ahead of United’s trip to Celtic Park.  The champions should win comfortably.

There was little glibness evident in The Herald’s sombre interview with Dave King, published this morning.  Despite apparently getting along famously with antagonists on either of Rangers International shareholding, he was unable to reach a deal, perhaps because he didn’t speak to the Organ Grinder behind the club playing in Rangers colours.

Indeed, neither King, nor anyone else trying to oust, or do a deal with, the current board, knows the ultimate beneficiary behind Blue Pitch Holdings et al.  Is it you?  It’s not me, but I suppose that’s what everyone is saying right now.

That question, is the only show in town.

King wrapped up his comments to The Herald by saying “Over the last two years we have all witnessed the destructive value when individuals, who should be putting the club first, advance personal agendas through the media in an attempt to influence the most important stakeholder in Rangers Football Club – the fans”.

Self-awareness is a rare thing.

Mr King is 100% correct on the destructive influence those who have divided his new favourite club have had.  Without the modestly self-named Blue Knights causing ultimately unproductive havoc, Charles Green’s consortium would surely not have over-paid and under-charged, leading to the situation King believes could lead to administration.  The question now for those on the outside is, do they have the votes, or are they just peeing on the Broxy Bear Burgers?

Jabba will have been paid off with a non-disclosure agreement, no way is he getting loose to write about what he has witnessed this past year. As far as his next place, cannot imagine a single journalist wanting to work with him after his parting piece from the Record.

Looking back, Green thought he was hiring a heavyweight journalist (don’t laugh) that could shape public opinion and keep the hordes spending money. Jabba’s days as a journalist ended when he became Murray’s chief cheerleader, baton twirler and pom pom shaker for the tabloid masses. It was a lucrative ride, a 25 year gravy train that will ensure his succulent lamb never goes dry.

Farewell Jabba, I am sure Jack Irvine will be raising a glass in your memory tonight.

That would be ideal as there is already a “big hoose” in Riddrie that more than a fair few of them have no doubt been lodgers at some point.

News reaches me tonight that Jim Traynor has parted company from Sevco FC to spend more time with Gordon Smith’s parents.

In my opinion Regan and Ogilvie will use the lowest punishment they can which I think would be a first administration and bring out the whole it’s the same club but a new holding company so it’s a first admin. We all know its keech but that’s what they’ll do.

Even though the clubs holding company was MIH. A fact that has been airbrushed out of this whole sorry saga.

  23. Think the points deduction now is a third of what you have got when admin occurs.

They could end up throwing games and losing multiple goals with the calculators out.

I love sport because it is so dignified.

  24. Saw the McColl interview. no laughing at the back, yesterday and was astounded to hear “Scotlands richest/ 6th richest ” man claim with a straight face that he had seriously wealthy investors lining up to invest in the huns as they recognised the “potential” of the businesss. He the claimed he could not use the money from his “investment funds” to buy into newco as it was not what his investors had signed up for, the use of his own money was strangely not enquired about by his tough talking interrogater.

Is that guy receiving all the care he is entitled too? Seriously he should either quit the drugs all together or increase the dosage immediately because they ain’t working at the minute. The newco huns have failed to learn one lesson from the death of oldco. Extravagant spending on players, flashy gimmicks like pre season training camps in Germany etc. All done just to provide the illusion they are “still” a major footballing force.

Then to read reports of comments from them, on here, that they would have no problem entering Administration, dumping the debt and still stroll the league is beyond sickening. Much as I despise the minis the Administrators involved with them did what everyone assumed would happen with the oldco, staff cuts across the board and cost cutting to reduce outgoings to protect creditors, which has given them some chance of survival. Newco cannot fail quick enough for me.

    Feel better after that :-)

  25. Mind you, there’ll be 2 catering gig contracts for the semi finals up for grabs-that could keep jt busy for a while

  26. fergus slayed the blues on

Re Sevco going into admin and still winning the league ,was there not rumblings of a change in the rules to ensure any club going into admin will be relegated .

I looks like this was their plan all along ,it would make sense regards the crazy business plan .

Sally will be getting head hunted all over Europe by any club desperate for a title win and not bothered if they go bust in the process .
