More fantasy about a miracle rescue

742

I was out of mobile phone range for most of yesterday and returned to read more histrionics.  On Tuesday I wrote: “Whatever ‘good news’ Duff and Phelps come out with later”, knowing full well (you all knew too) that news of Bill Miller’s departure would soon be countered by a fantastic (literally) piece of optimism from Rangers administrators.  They didn’t disappoint.

Today’s Guardian tells us that one bidder has “proved to Duff and Phelps they have a means of securing current owner Craig Whyte’s shares.”

Administrator, David Whitehouse, explains:  “One of the bids is for a stand-alone CVA and there are a number of hurdles which need to be overcome. Our view is that it is challenging, but it is not impossible. The purchaser who is talking to us about a stand-alone CVA has demonstrated to us that they have got a mechanism where Craig Whyte’s shares are not an issue.”

Ah, the illusive mechanism!  So Craig Whyte is irrelevant again.

We are three months into the process, Craig Whyte is no more irrelevant today than he was on 14 February, he remains the Only Show in Town.  Once he stops being the main event, HMRC take top billing.  After them, the players will have their 15 minutes of ‘action’.  Then you will hear more of the story.  If there is anything left after all this, the SPL and SFA will have their say.

Prior to appointing Bill Miller preferred bidder Duff and Phelps explained why a stand-along CVA was no longer possible.  No amount of creative thinking will change this fact.  The season ends on Sunday, Rangers last chance to pull a deal together passed on Monday, when Duff and Phelps were unable to present a proposal to the SPL.

Even IF a phoenix is assembled for next season, or the season after that, it will be a humbled shell of what was once Rangers.

Rangers Football Club is disintegrating and will do so at an increasing rate in the weeks ahead.  Again, cease and desist with the adolescent hysteria.  Chill. Go for a walk in the rain and spare a thought for those football fans with genuine worries.

Harland and Wolfe arrived in 1912 and it was from there they went orange. WW1 with its “Beware the Hun” posters coincidentally arrived not long after.

So starting 1912 up to Johnstone signing although that was only an outward manifestation of the changem some hearts never allowed Catholics in.

The failure to condemn The Famine Song because it was wrong is an indicator of how deep the change really went.

I have always thought that CW was sourced and would pass his shares on when it came time to do so and they would be passed on to whoever his master told him to .

He may pass them on to a buyer and that buyer may make a quick sale to the masters choice to put distance between the scam players and muddy the waters

IMO when CW passes the shares over we will have another piece in the scam jigsaw .

The big L was always going to be the eventual outcome ,only way to get rid of all the sold off revenue streams ,taxes ,football penalties and dual contracts .

The biggest thing the scam players fear most is the scrutiny that ragers are now under from the internet bampots ,I have no doubt that during the drawing up of their plans they knew the MSM /LL would give them no trouble at all ,the bloggers are their worst nightmare ,is this why the latest two bidders are not being disclosed .

keep up the good work Paul/RTC /Phil/AT

Interesting, glad Pletikosa got a club and is doing well, would have given him a contract, but then again big Fraser has been magnificent for us this year imo, and if he doesn’t stay apparently the holy goalie has indicated a desire to return to paradise…..

neither do I, but its the first time I’ve heard a hack actually say the words,

probably result in nothing but its a first as far as I know.

I did note he immediately went on to try and limit who should be apologising for what, but as I said its a first, keep the pressure on by all means, I know I’m not satisfied, but dont miss the ground being made.

When Celtic were formed it was commonplace for Celtic and Rangers fans to watch the other team if they were playing at home when the other team was playing away from home.

The sectarianism came about when H&W opened a yard on the Clyde and imported their foreman from Belfast. I think that coincided with a change of Rangers chairman who didn’t need to be persuaded to promote Rangers as a Protestant club.

  7. Maybe there is a chink of light at the end of the tunnel for the Huns. If Criag Whyte sells his shares for a £1 they can then try to exit administration via a CVA.

Then Hector can apply for a winding up order, and liquidate them.

Craigy boy presumably keeps his securities over the stadium and the training ground and rents it ad infinitum to newco liquidated Huns.

According to the news from Russia Stipe Pletikosa was excellent for the club and made them many points.

I don’t think Artur Boruc transfer to eltic is going to happen. He is leaving Italy but I hear Everton and Aston Villa are interested.

Get that Jan Much from Everton. He is second choice keeper, waste of big talent. He was excellent for Legia.

    Zilina MUST win this title

    They have to play:

    MFK Ruzomberok A

    Nitra H

    DAC Dunajska Streda A

    Spartak Trnava 2nd

    A Zlate Moravce

    H MFK Ružomberok

    A FC Nitra

Slovan Bratislava 3rd but have the referees on their sides and play in blue (small world)

    A DAC Dunajska Streda

    H MFK Košice

    A Tatran Prešov

On paper cheating Slovan have the easiest run in and the referees. Zilina have two hard games against Ruzomberok and Nitra and finish against the relegated mob Dunajska. Spartak Trnava are still in there but trust me, we DO NOT want to play them – too many hooligans and casuals support them.

    Here’s the table:

    1 Žilina 30 16 10 4 47 27 +20 58 WLWDD

    2 Spartak Trnava 30 16 8 6 37 22 +15 56 WDLWD

    3 Slovan Bratislava 30 15 10 5 43 30 +13 55 WDWDD

    4 Senica 30 14 11 5 42 21 +21 53 WWDLD

    5 Ružomberok 30 10 11 9 37 30 +7 41 LDDWW

    6 Zlaté Moravce 30 11 7 12 32 38 -6 40 LLLLW

    7 Trenčín 30 9 12 9 44 46 -2 39 DDWDW

    8 Nitra 30 8 12 10 32 35 -3 36 LLWWL

    9 Dukla 30 9 9 12 36 40 -4 36 LWDDD

    10 Tatran Prešov 30 6 11 13 21 32 -11 29 WWDWD

    11 Košice 30 6 8 16 24 39 -15 26 DLLLL

    12 DAC 30 5 1 24 18 53 -35 16 LWLLL

It looks to me like Slovan might cheat their way to the title but I hope Zilina hang on in there.

They won the Slovak Cup against Senica (in one God awful stadium) on Tuesday so hopefully we don’t see Senica winning.

Senica took over the old Inter Bratislava team and took their share in the league and players a la Airdrie and Clydebank. No Newcos here.

3 games to go, Mon the Zilina (although that makes me very unpopular with my Spartak pals

There is though a difference in contrition of the head being used as a matter of policy to get one’s way and being truly contrite in the heart and recognising previous behavior was actually harming self more than anyone else.

To get to that point the self harm has to be so painful you say in your heart and head “I’ll not do this again..”

I do not think they are there yet, but at least they are thinking about it and what a challenge it will present Tims for whom contrition and forgiveness is part of our upbringing.

  15. Paul you came across very well,

if anyone has wee spence on twitter can you ask him what the background noises were, it sounded to me as if it was either regular sharp intakes of breath from jabba, or Darth Vader had entered the room and was getting friendly with cheeky chico

  16. Well done tonight Paul

Must be difficult to stay calm and focussed while dealing with the antics of Jabba and Dung – firing questions at you while moving the goalposts as you try to reply

interesting. My memories from my youth were of all the men in the pub drinking together, with their colours on, before and after the match. One group even travelled to the games together and separated before the match and rejoined afterwards. They seemed the best of pals. I am talking early 1970’s. Erenie, what year are you referring to re the Clyde thing?

It all changed for sure but I cannot remember when. It is now the worst I have known with running street battles after almost every game, esp if the scum lose.

I dont know if the picture I paint of a friendly rivalry is typical of the bigger picture. As I indicated earlier today, my village was a small close knit community. It ain’t now! Some would say I now speak through green tinted specs, but it is THEM who are the problem regardless of their constant leaning towards blaming Catholic schools.

They really are a sub human species stuck in another world, and saddest of all, they cannot see it.

  19. Thanks for kind support. Very pleased with the hearing everyone at the BBC gave to me.

Auldheid, yes, we need information promptly and before any major decisions are made.

SFTB, the vote for admission of a Newco was with the SPL board not the general meeting. It required a majority from Celtic, Motherwell, Dundee United, St Johnstone and Neil Doncaster. The chair votes if there is a tie.

It now requires 8 from 12, Doncaster doesn’t get a vote. Now harder to pass.

  20. canamalar, Auldheid and ernie,

Thank you all for the information. Particularly interesting that, effectively, in the early days fans went to watch each others` team. With current events, could the cycle become complete? o:-)

  21. I noticed kitalba’s earlier statement re Duff & Phelps being prepared to make good use of their professional indemnity insurance in the near future.

I think they have more than strained the bounds of credibility in their professional practice with Rangers. If they are charged with maximising returns for creditors, how can they justify telling Bill Ng that he can re-bid, following the dropout of Bill Miller, AND be informed that he need not bid half as much as he did before?

They truly are sticking their backsides oot the windae and asking their profession’s supervisors to administer a good dose of the cane.

    Auldheid,

ah wis gonnae say something like that, but can live withyour version :OD)))))

  25. I laugh so heartedly when it is continually rolled out by D&P that CW will pass his shares on to prospective bidders.

How much did CW pay for his shares, a £1 I think it was. How much are they worth today, less than £1.

CW could give his shares to any orc for posterity, for that is all they are worth.

Why else would you want shares in a dead Company!

Usually the idea is for somebody to buy shares to make a killing (metaphorically speaking before Ally accuses me of incitement). A good strategy, generally. However, acquiring CW’s shares will not make any Investor a wad of cash.

Yes, they could have 85% of shares but they would not have the important factors: no stadium to play in and no seats to sell in that stadium.

Why therefore is so much spin being placed on having CW’s shares.

Posterity is all the shares are good for, that and using them to get royal ascent from Neil Doncaster for newco.

    Keep the Faith!
