More injuries and set-piece woes for Spartak

1051

Just as Celtic’s injury problems appear to be lifting Spartak Moscow’s are getting more acute each passing game.  Their cult-hero goalkeeper, Andriy Dykan, was substituted after picking up an injury in yesterday’s win against 10-man Amkar Perm and is unlikely to face Celtic.  Already injured, Pareja, Welliton, Parshivlyuk, Jurado and Romulo, never made the squad.

The goal Spartak lost to ninth-place Amkar, is worthy of note.  It was the eighth goal they have lost to a set piece in the last 10 games.  Celtic have been particularly effective from set pieces in Europe already this season and will see an opportunity in corners and free kicks deep in opposition territory.

Tuesday is the day…..

    You’re a great steadying hand.

Now can you explain consubstantiation to me:o)

great pics, obviously want the europeans to win this, but i think i want the yanks to lose it more, touched on it last night with G64, they have the most unsportsmanlike crowds (were golfs concerned ).

Tell us an anecdote in your da’s memory of the places he went to see Celtic before his family came along and he made the right decision that family came first. What places did his love for Celtic take him to?

  4. For ‘the bould b’hoys’ :

“Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.” – Helen Keller

“Because a fellow has failed once or twice, or a dozen times, you don’t want to set him down as a failure till he’s dead or loses his courage–and that’s the same thing.” – George Lorimer

Memory’s of your dad, I remember as a small wean waiting outside the pub with a packet of crips before games. Then sharing a 1/2 bottle of whiskey at the 1980 cup final; then my last conversation with him in 2005 on the mobile about…….well Celtic of course.

What a hypocrite. Pay your taxes Walter. That might help the poor kids.

    Consubstantiation.

Hard even to spell at this time of night, old thing.

The Holy Trinity is the most fundamental doctrine in Christian teaching. All to do with God not being that distant, passive God that people often criticise him for being. God’s love for this world and for us is infinite. He loved the world so much he became man, consubtantially. Jesus is God. Jesus is man. Jesus wept. Jesus laughed. Jesus loved. Jesus died. Consubstantially. When his time on earth was over, for now, he told us his Spirit, God’s spirit, would be there to comfort us.

St Augustine says that when we learn that God made us in his own image, there are very clear teachings on the nature of the Holy Trinity. But it’s not a physical thing. Memory, understanding, will. Three faculties, one soul. Consubstantial.

I bet your da was glad he made it to Milan, even though we lost and he was hungry on the way back owing to lack of funds.

Which of us, right now, would say no to the offer of seeing Celtic in the final of Europe’s top club competition if the price was that we would go hungry on the way home. I would bite your hand off for that. But if I did that, I wouldn’t be able to complain about being hungry.

If liquidation has been given the green light, does that mean that Lord (Hodge)? is satisfied that there was no conflict of interest with D&P and RFC(il) prior to being appointed administrators?

    No

    This is a statutory report

LH said the Administration would not end until he had a report on the COI issue

D&P are applying for the Administration to end .LH will decide if he agrees .

To read anything else into this report is to assume there has been secret discussions between LH and D&P leading to permission being given for D&P to apply for liquidation and say so in this report

Perhaps a legal mind can comment

It seems to me that LH is being asked to rule on the end of Administration rather than connive with D&P on announcing a pre agreed date for end of Administraion
