More injuries and set-piece woes for Spartak

1051

Just as Celtic’s injury problems appear to be lifting Spartak Moscow’s are getting more acute each passing game.  Their cult-hero goalkeeper, Andriy Dykan, was substituted after picking up an injury in yesterday’s win against 10-man Amkar Perm and is unlikely to face Celtic.  Already injured, Pareja, Welliton, Parshivlyuk, Jurado and Romulo, never made the squad.

The goal Spartak lost to ninth-place Amkar, is worthy of note.  It was the eighth goal they have lost to a set piece in the last 10 games.  Celtic have been particularly effective from set pieces in Europe already this season and will see an opportunity in corners and free kicks deep in opposition territory.

Tuesday is the day…..

  1. Great night at last nights quiz for wee Oscar. Big thanks to Hamiltontim for all your efforts and great pub to have quiz in. Thanks also to BB, CRC and Minx1888 for being the driving force of all things Oscar. Also great effort from Lisa ( Mrs Commons) what a wonderful person she is and having the time for everyone. Hoopers top looked better on her than it ever did on Gary bhoy. Lastly my wee lassie is still over the moon winning Kris’ MOTM champers.

    Sightseeing tips in Donegal,

loads and loads of blue flag beeches, the area around Downings is a favourite of mine

A must see in my opinion though is Glenveigh national park, I guarantee you will not be dissapointed it is sensational!!!

Make sure you have plenty of time (the whole day would be an idea) and good walking shoes and read up on the history of the place especially the evictions around the time of An Gorta Mor

I spent a week on holiday in letterkenny in august and wished i had stayed longer as we didn’t get to see half of it

    Enjoy

  13. It’s a wee bit optimistic to assume we are going to take anything at all from this game given our champions league away record. It amazes me how over the years we have been so good at home, and yet when we go away we don’t so much as just lose- we seem to get taught a footballing lesson. Losing like 3-0 and having to endure wave after wave of attack. I’m trying to be as positive as I can myself but this team we play on Tuesday will replace any injured players with quality.
