More injuries and set-piece woes for Spartak

1051

Just as Celtic’s injury problems appear to be lifting Spartak Moscow’s are getting more acute each passing game.  Their cult-hero goalkeeper, Andriy Dykan, was substituted after picking up an injury in yesterday’s win against 10-man Amkar Perm and is unlikely to face Celtic.  Already injured, Pareja, Welliton, Parshivlyuk, Jurado and Romulo, never made the squad.

The goal Spartak lost to ninth-place Amkar, is worthy of note.  It was the eighth goal they have lost to a set piece in the last 10 games.  Celtic have been particularly effective from set pieces in Europe already this season and will see an opportunity in corners and free kicks deep in opposition territory.

Tuesday is the day…..

  1. you would think by the look of olazabal and the number of putts getting missed by both sides that there was some kind of pressure involved in this game. t

they dont know what pressure is – i was an hour late home from the pub earlier, now thats pressure.

You’re a diamond my friend. Had to rush out the other night, but did see your post re Eyes Wide Shut. On the face of it a very simple film, but that was the clue to it being loaded with other implications imo. Anyway, well done Bucket 33 :))

  5. Is it the greatest EVER sporting moment that did not involve the Great Glasgow Celtic ?

    I would think so.

Not the naturist one you dissapoint me :>)

Vera was under lots of water, I will try and find out about the beach club for you.

The naturist area has been spared by all accounts, but the roads are in a bad way, a motorway flyover colapsed.

Should be ok by the time you get there.

We could meet half way ish, Albox would be about 15 mins from Vera, we would be over an hour from there but we often go there shoping, a decent Indian there as well.

That is fantastic news then as he is lightning quick. I hope all their players are back for the following CL game though and they get a draw. ;)

I have a good feeling about Tuesday and I would take a draw right now but I genuinely feel we can sneak the 3 points.

We will need a fantastic performance to take anything but we are starting to come into good form.

    LOL

I couldnae believe it when I landed that number, spooky after all my jibber jabber on CQN over the years. It had to be though really. :))

I did manage to get into the car park for 12:30 exactly which is pretty good going from Dumbarton considering I left at 11:59. The new motorway link in is fantastic and saves a whole lot of time. So it makes it even spookier that I landed that number when I was one of the last there. :D
