More injuries and set-piece woes for Spartak

1051

Just as Celtic’s injury problems appear to be lifting Spartak Moscow’s are getting more acute each passing game.  Their cult-hero goalkeeper, Andriy Dykan, was substituted after picking up an injury in yesterday’s win against 10-man Amkar Perm and is unlikely to face Celtic.  Already injured, Pareja, Welliton, Parshivlyuk, Jurado and Romulo, never made the squad.

The goal Spartak lost to ninth-place Amkar, is worthy of note.  It was the eighth goal they have lost to a set piece in the last 10 games.  Celtic have been particularly effective from set pieces in Europe already this season and will see an opportunity in corners and free kicks deep in opposition territory.

Tuesday is the day…..

  5. Hi Ghuys

I was recently going to post about Celtic never trying out a trick free kick, then all of a sudden two arrive in quick succession

One of which delivers a goal and the other thwarted by a good save (Broonie’s).

Yes we are on the up and up

Glad the rain has stopped. Daft question I guess but were you caught on the end of the rain that sadly caused loss of life perhaps a wee bit far from you?

I have occasionally wished that there was some way to lock the laptop (or at least certain sites) and the phone (or at least certain numbers) when I have over-imbibed. It’s very rare these days that I go over the 2nd glass of vino but the last time I drank to forget it got spectacularly messy.

Thanks for that. So…what I’d like to know now: where is Lord Hodges report?

Looks like the next two weeks or so will be the terminal point for much of this. Of course, Chunky will be mouthing it off big time…should be good for a laugh.

I really do have to go this time!

I was listening to the golf on five live in the car earlier and they were reporting that Davis Love had said he thought USA would have it tied up by the duffner match……maybe not now, sqeaky bum time for the yanks.

I am fortunate that I live near the top of the mountains, so all the rain tends to pass me by, I feel for those not so fortunate.

I read about a couple from Liverpool who were sitting outside a bar on friday, having a coffee, next to a market, river burst it’s banks, next thing the market and couple were washed away, they were found dead yesterday.

I have never seen anything like it, utter carnage and devestation.

So the hunnery’s diddled Scotland for over a 100m,the best about it is they had the chance to pay it up before it got near that and what did they do?

    Spend it on players!!!

    Disgrace to the country,Scotlands Shame!
