I’ve seen enough of Brozek to think he does give us something different to Hooper and Stokes. He looks faster and nippier…. He will score in this game and go on from there. I hope he gets a chance.

You’re right about Commons. He seems too slow to decide what to do and by then it’s too late

We seem to lack urgency and direction when in possesion. Commons has been caught dithering on a few occasions. Why is Hoops playing so deep? I am tring to work out Lenny’s thinking behind the formation

We will be a little more creative in 2nd.
Commons doing most of creating and Paddy should add to that.
Hoping Mo or Tony Watt get a run out.

Anyone got a link for an online commentary? Can’t find one this week. Sportsound only available on MW apparently.
Lenny is using these no meaning games to try out some new formations so we can’t be too critical. It is all about building ideas for next season. A couple of things that are not working for me: Wanyama playing right back while a real right back plays in front of him in wide right midfield and Hooper playing deep behing Broz.
There has been some good possession but we have not created many clear cut chances. Two best ones have fallen to Broz and he sclaffed one and was unlucky with the other. Zaluka made one excellent save. The only threat they have is down our left with Izzy regularly being caught out. Charlie and Rogne are solid in centre defence. Ledley in and out of the game. Sorry to see Kim going off but hopefully Paddy can take his chance and show what he can do. The game is set up for him to make an impact.
Can’t see many goals in this the way we are set up.
We know what Stokes can, and can’t do, and I think NL will allow Brozek much of the 90 minutes, despite his miss, he’s showed more than Hooper, who for some reason plays deeper, than where he’s most effective.
Fancy a Celtic win with a great platform for any Celtic player, that wants to be in the last v Rangers line up?

Not sure if Auldheid posted it on here, but he linked on Facebook, to an article about Barcelona and part of it discussed the importance of the first second on the ball – essentially a move’s success is determined in the first second that a player receives the ball.
The way I read it, this is regarding each player within the move and the wrong decision or a delayed one, allows your opponent to (re)cover and the move breaks down.
KC has been guilty of this a few times this season and certainly once or twice already today.
and it was players like Lubo who used that initial contact to open up his options that we hold dear

We still as a team are a little reactive.
When we learn to be proactive we will go up another level.
We play a little to square and should start looking at playing the ball diagonally into space and encourage our players to attack the channels in anticipation of a pass.
Commons is the man to open them up; also good to see Ledley run beyond the forwards. Hope Hooper stays up front and plays alongside his partner, he’s no use in the middle.
The shirts are getting auctioned for the Thai Tims.

Oglash: See my last few posts for my opinion on the tactics.
3CB’s free-ing up fullbacks. Letting Izzy get game time and reducing the Cha Effect while keeping the midfield packed.
When they have 1 upfront one of the backs is stepping up to help out the mids. and when we have the ball Vic and Charlie are spreading wide but Rogne is still in centre.
Hooper as false 9 (and maybe COmmons as a false 10) in preparation for Europe next season
Just my take on it mind you. Could just be the effect of having CB’s take his ankles out the equation so much hes staying away from them.

I am actually enjoying this
KC has been up and down, when when “up” he has been excellent
VW, Joe, Chaz having their usually good games
Izzy’s best game since coming back
ZL has been superb
Hooper/ Cha/ Pavel – more needed
We dominated the start and end of the half
I’ve seen enough of Brozek to think he does give us something different to Hooper and Stokes. He looks faster and nippier…. He will score in this game and go on from there. I hope he gets a chance.

One of the main reasons the game is not littered with fouls is sitting next to Tanner in the studio…

Whys the players tops in Thai ? I’m sure it’s something to do with Thai tims.
Good to see paddy get chance, prob a bit rusty since its been so long.
Helluva result from Old trafford.
4-4
Man city can still win this. PLEASE LET THAT BE.
nO DOUBT ALREADY ASKED BUT i HAVE JUST COME IN FOR A MINUTE. wHAT ARE THOSE NAMES ON THE cELTIC SHIRTS? tHANKS,

(oops. Sorry about caps.)
I think Brozek looks like Shaun Maloney’s big brother.
Apart from that I think him and Commons will score.
Lubo.
What a little shitehouse Tanner is

enjoyin the game
some real nice play by both teams
good to see
a relaxed feel about it, IMO
for us anyhow ! haha
shame about Davy, hope he’s gonna be ok
disnae look good
Pawel missed a couple, one real good one, dafty
but we are all over them
their forward is fast, we now that
and so he looks cocky, gallus !
ah’d put victor on him 2nd half,
big man is playin awesome
one thing could turn the game nicely for us….
…Big Tam is gettin the baw lots and stridin out…
…seems to lack a little confidence, unlike Charlie
…try gettin Charlie with it instead therefore, in centre
also, Joe doin ok but not on fire as usual
would have loved to have seen Dylan in there
good to see Paddy – lets see what he can do
we get the first goal, we will horse them !

I suppose we can’t all be Xavi though.
Rusty looking and lacking urgency with a touch of dwelling.
